If anyone, who want to listen to KITARO Music for the first time in near future, expects KITARO Music to be calm or to be some typical healing music, then...what kind of impression does she/he have when listening to this album??? Raoring eletcric guitar...energetic grooves which seems to last forever...and sometimes...calmness. If you think "WOOOOW!! So COOL!!!", then the happy days as KITARO fan will come to you (^_^). On this album, which was recorded live at Budokan (Tokyo) on 6th December 1982, we can hear the performance which we can call it "symphonic psychedelic rock" i.e. symphonic rock with psychedelic feeling. This performance already has so closer feeling to recent days of KITARO-san, even though the performance on last live album IN PERSON does not have this feeling. And adding to that, this album contains something which we cannot hear in KITARO-san's recent live, i.e. KITARO-san's sitar performance (on "THE GOD OF SAND"). Listen to "AQUA". On IN PERSON album, the performance of this songs is closer to the original version on OASIS album, but the performance on this album BUDOKAN is different and has the arrangement using electric guitar solo of heavy distorted sound lasting long on the latter half of the song. And on the latter half of "THE GOD OF SAND", along with grooving sitar by KITARO-san, the electric guitar improvisation of powerful distorted sound unfolds. And the performance (or the arrangement) of "COSMIC LOVE", "PILGRIMAGE", "DANCE OF SAND" is much much much changed from its original versions!! All of these songs much evolved from original versions dramatically & dynamically!! With these songs we can clearly see how KITARO Music grows. "ANGEL QUEEN" on this album is instrumental version (original version of this song is with vocal sung by Dara Sedaka) and the performance is closer to the instrumental version of "ANGEL QUEEN" which is B side of the single "ANGEL QUEEN", or "PUROMESYUME" on QUEEN MILLENNIA album. It is interesting that the performance of "CLOUD" is already closer to "THE CLOUDS" (re-make version of the same song) on TEN YEARS album which was released 5 years later. Anyway, powerfully rocking "DANCE OF SAND" is so COOL!!

This album was released only in some country of east Asia except Japan when it was originally released. So it maybe diffficult to find this.
