Original soundtrack for Japanese anime movie "QUEEN MILLENNIA" by world-famous space anime maestro Reiji Matsumoto who is also known for the anime of the promotion video for Daft Punk recently. This "Japanime" is considered as the last one (?) in Reiji Matsumoto's most shining days. This album has many pop and impressive melodies, and many songs have the shape of (just like) pop music, and improvisation part is very few. All the songs have so simple arrangement, and mostly have no world music taste and no hippie music taste. So it can be said that this album is the most pop album in KITARO-san's whole discography. Those who like pop feeling just like "SILK ROAD" on SILK ROAD VOLUME 1 album are going to LOVE this album. At the same time, having these aspects, this album has the atmosphere of KITARO-san's typical album, and has strong "KITARO-san's typical flow represented through an album".

Medley from "PROLOGUE (ANGEL QUEEN - LONG VERSION)" through "SPACE QUEEN" is the instrumental version of the movie's theme song "ANGEL QUEEN" sung by Dara Sedaka, but this medley is actually another instrumental version which has more dramatic arrangement using drums and other rhythm instruments in chorus part, while B side of the single "ANGEL QUEEN" is also an instrumental version which has more quiet arrangement. "COSMIC LOVE" had been a KITARO-san's live favourite for many years, so this is one of his important repertoire (but comparing to this song's dynamic performance in his usual live show, which can be heard on live albums BUDOKAN, ASIA and LIVE IN AMERICA or on live videos OSAKA-JO LIVE and AN ENCHANTED EVENING, this original version is obviously quiet). It is interesting that, in his live show, KITARO-san sometimes added the final section of "BRIDGE OVER THE FREEDOM" to the coda part of "COSMIC LOVE". "THE LOVE FOR PROMESIUME (ANGEL QUEEN)" is a variation of "SPACE QUEEN" or "ANGEL QUEEN", and this performance is close to the B side of the single "ANGEL QUEEN".

Without doubt, this is an approachable and good album, and not bad for the very first KITARO album for those who is new to KITARO Music. But since it seems that this album is not released anywhere on this planet at this present moment, don't decide to listen to this album first, otherwise you may never listen to any KITARO album. If you like this king of taste of KITARO Music, you are going to like the albums which were released AFTER this album (particularly after THE LIGHT OF THE SPIRIT album) in stead of albums which were released before last album KI.

"PROLOGUE (ANGEL QUEEN - LONG VERSION)" on this album and "PROLOGUE" on IN PERSON and on ANCIENT albums are all different songs.
