Again, original soundtrack for Japanese TV program "SILK ROAD", and this is a 2nd one of "SILK ROAD" TV soundtrack by KITARO-san. Though last album SILK RAOD VOLUME 1 sounds like KITARO-san does not find his music's position in this "SILK ROAD" project yet (i.e. not yet find how to express with his music in this project), but in this album, which is released within 6 month since SILK RAOD VOLUME 1, KITARO-san seems to find how to express his own music in this project, and began to bring back the strength of his music as an music opus (which existed until two albums ago i.e. OASIS), but not yet completely. The number of impressive songs become larger than SILK RAOD VOLUME 1, and also each songs become stronger than SILK RAOD VOLUME 1. Also as KITARO-san brings back the richness of the arrangement a little bit more than last album, this album has more variations of musical expression and more colourfulness of sounds than SILK RAOD VOLUME 1 obviously. And also it is good to be able to feel the return of "KITARO-san's typical flow represented through an album" on this album.

The first half of "SILVER MOON" is a variation of the TV program's theme song "SILK ROAD" which is included in last album SILK RAOD VOLUME 1. Arrangement of "SILK ROAD" when KITARO-san performs live is much closer to this "SILVER MOON"'s first half (more than to the original version of "SILK ROAD"). "DANCE OF SAND" was KITARO-san's important repertoire, and was performed so often in the climax of his live show in his early days. Surprisingly KITARO-san's vocal scat (?) through vocoder can be heard on "DAWNING" which actually sings the word!!

Obviously this album is stronger than last album SILK ROAD VOLUME 1. But among KITARO-san's whole discography, this is a weaker album. Must be said "KITARO-san is more than this!!". This is NOT the very first KITARO album for those who have interest in KITARO Music.

"PEACE" on this album is a different song from the same title song on the albums IN PERSON. Some edition has the title "ETERNAL SPRING" for the song "AQUA" (not including on this album), but that "ETERNAL SPRING" (i.e. "AQUA") is not the same song as "ETERNAL SPRING" on this album.
