This is the unique music created by one young man who seemed like loving music more than anything else. What a vision, what a thickness, even this is just a debut album!! Terrific. It must be difficult to find this kind of music in the whole music history on this planet. There is no doubt about the fact that this 1st album has freedom more than rest of all KITARO-san's albums have. Many different kind of music (including ethnic music from every corner of the world) gathered together here, and they are dazzlingly unfolding under the name of "Sound Creator KITARO"...this music is just like true "Kaleidoscope Of Sound". In KITARO-san's whole discography, this album is the most difficult to describe what kind of music. But it can be described that...this music is close to creative rock and/or psychedelic music which was shining in late 1960s mainly in England. More than rest of all KITARO-san's albums, this album gives the impression that the album is one long song. So while listening to this album, "Which song I am hearing now?" seems NO important. Most important seems "Just feel the music". Throughout the album this is mostly improvisations, and impressive melodies are never repeated. But, as same as the rest of all KITARO-san's albums, melodious impressions are all around the album. Never expect pop feeling.

Later, the feeling of "I do everything what I want to do!!" became to be lost slightly little by little. That's one of the reason why this album sounds so interseting. In the last tune "ASTRAL TRIP", you can hear the groove of Japanese Taiko drums which later became the important element of KITARO Music. What makes KITARO Music's rock so unique is the beat of Japanese Taiko drum inside of KITARO-san's body. "FIRE" is KITARO-san's important repertoire and used to be a live favourite while KITARO-san had performed this song for many years.

It can be said that this album contains all the elements of whole KITARO Music. So if you become a KITARO Music fan, you must listen to this album before late. Not bad to listen to this album first if you want stimulative music. Without doubt, in all time music history, this is the most successful hippie album by Japanese musician.

Also recommended to those who like Pink Floyd's album like UMMAGUMMA and/or ATOM HEART MOTHER, to those who think "In the discography of Far East Family Band (KITARO-san's former band), I like PARALLEL WORLD much more than "THE CAVE" DOWN TO THE EARTH", and also to those who want to "trip".
