November 1st, 2003- Well we havn't updated in almost 3 months so this is way overdue. Believe it or not not much has happened sinse the last update. We havn't been able to practice much lately because of the fact that Andrew lives 4 hours away from the rest of us. Our last 2 shows havn't been our best work mostly because of this. Hopefully we get a chance to practice sometime soon because we really need to work on new material, as well as work on our old songs so they don't suck when we play them live. Our show last night was fun but it wasn't very productive. We were told we were to get 45 minutes of stage time but only got about 20 so we had to rush through a set of like 5 songs...oh well, If you are reading this you must be really bored or really cool, either way thanks for giving us your time. Well I hope to see you at another show at another time=Jay Danger. August 5th, 2003- Hey everyone that comes here!!! We havn't updated much lately so I figgured that I would. We just had a show last nite at Nicoles Town Hall in Mtn. Iron and it was splendiferous. The Assumption's CD came out there and it absolutely rawks!!!! Everyone should buy at least one copy and listen to it non stop for 37 days in a row because it is well worth th five dollers. Anyway we need more shows so people need to start throwin parties or having concerts places and ask us to play them. We are currently working on new material and are going to be working on our full length sometime soon. Hopefuly it will come out before Andrew abandons us for this magical place called college. Well thats all for now I think keep on rawkin and coming to our shows Peace!!!- Jay Danger July 12th, 2003- Not much new going on...Tom is down under so we are taking a little MONOCLE break. I just updated the links page to include my other band Happy Graduation and I also updated the Lyrics page... well Enjoy!!!!Peace Out People-Jay Danger--------------------% July 9th 2003-Criminal In Tent is out and we've sold out two runs of 37 copies already!!! We are thrilled and are starting to prepare ourselves to record a full length album. Who knows how long that will take us. If you didn't already get yourself a copy of the EP, dont fret, we will make more when we get a chance, if you are interested in one (or several thousand) for yourself get ahold of one of the band members or give us an email and well do our best to get one to you. Since we are doing almost all of the work ourselves, it takes awhile for us to spit these copies out. thanks for reading this :) well keep you posted on any new things going down. OH and the show for the Aurora Centennial that was supposed to be on main street never happened due to a big ass storm, but the Tacora show went pretty damn well.~ andrew June 20th, 2003-Newsflash! The rumors are true everyone!!! Monocle is coming out with a 3(for sure) maby 4 song e.p. entitled Criminal: In Tent, the track listing is The Gift, In Your Hands, and New Song. We may not get 6:08 recorded in time for the release date of July 2nd but we will record it and release that song with the others at a later date if we don't meet the deadline. Andrew and I congered up the Cover and it is looking really good. Well hope to see you at the centenial and at the Tacora in the same week we will be playing with a couple more bands including Happy Graduation- my "side progect" with Marlon Rhol and Max Fobish (sorry guys if I butchered your name I suck at spelling) So hope to see ya there and be sure to bring your pocket books so you can support your local bands by buying a CD of theirs!!!!! Love Jay Danger June 18th, 2003 hey everyone, this is tom and i think it's the 1st time i've actually done something on this website. well we ended up recording with rod the bod and we should have a 3 or 4 song EP for you monocle fans on the july 2nd show. that means you have to go to the show to get one ;) but i'm a nice guy and i'll get ya one if you can't make the show. well remember we have a show july 2nd !!!!1 =tom May 25th, 2003=Hey everyone, sorry I havn't updated in a while. Here's what is going on in Monocleville; we plan to have Rod the Bod (sound man for The Hats) help us record a 3 song EP sometime in early June. It will be completed by our performance for the Aurora centenial. Our show at the Urban Edge last week was a blast and everyone there was really cool. Thanks for showing up. As mentioned before, we are planning on getting one-inch buttons whith Monocle logos on them, we might include a button with an EP purchace for free when it comes out so come to our shows this summer and pick one up!!! well thats all for now=Jay Danger May 11th, 2003~hey! we got a chance to practice altogether on a new song the other day and we have a show at the urban edge this friday I CANT WAIT i LOVE the urban edge!!! whooohooo :) anyways, suck my ass nate, and thats all for now, i want to play new songs cause these are all bothering me, goodbye for now.--Andrew May 1st, 2003~ Hello everyone, there hasnt been a whole lot going on in the monocle lately, the show in babbit went pretty well despite its problems. We tried to practice several times in the past few weeks but it just hasnt worked out for everyone yet. I really wish we could get the two newest songs ready to play, that would be great, but were having trouble writing lyrics for them and we havent got around to practicing them much. but anyways, see ya later. oh we might be gettting some buttons to sell so everyone can be cool and sport a monocle logo on everything they wear!!! andrew April 20th 2003- Happy Easter everyone!!! Sorry I havn't updated in a while but I have been exceptionally lazy lately. We played an awesome show last week and have another rawkin' show coming up in Babbit. I hope to see you all there. We only have one tee shirt left...it is XL so scoop it up at the next show. Well thats all for now. See ya later!!!-Jay Danger March 31st 2003~I guess that no one has updated in awhile, so I will take the time to do so. There are some upcoming shows that should prove to be super duper, so anyone reading this should check out the shows page. We played to a crowd of less than ten people at Giants Ridge last weekend. It was fun, but would have been better if we had started playing before the fucking place closed, oh well. Yesterday, Jay, Tom and I worked on a couple new songs that Andy is most likely to be doing the singing on. They seem to be turning out pretty well. We were going to have Andy come over so we could work on the older songs with new second guitar parts, but Luke (andy's brother is a douche, sorry luke) and Andy slept till 3:30. So thats the new news. The old daily blah page seemed to be filled, so its on the archives page... Andrew |
