November 13, 2002: It has been a looooooooong time since we last updated but not much has really been happening lately. We started recording at Drew's house and are playing up there now. Practices have been scarece but we've written a few new songs and they sound pretty good. Hopefully a few shows will come up so we can get our music heard but if anything we can record and pass out CDs. Well I don't have anything else to say.-Jay
October 27, 2002: It's been a long time sinse we updadated so here's whats been up. Drew and I have been working on a few new songs but only 2 or 3 real jam sessons. The show on the 2nd has been postponed for now and might be canceled check back for more info. Well that's all for now see ya!-Jay
October 15, 2002: We recently played a show. All in all it was a good show (it would have been better if i wasn't so retarded and didn't mess up on every song) we played with hatesmile, torn inside, the hats (those guys are strange....but funny), and of course GSTTR. GSTTR rawked out completly and in my opinion played their best ever (although Sam thought otherwise). Hopefully more shows will come and all 6 of our fans can come and see us...we will more than likely be playing with GSTTR and the Marshmallows on November 2 so come out and support us...if anything go support GSTTR and the Marshmallows. Which brings me to my last point (which to me is one of the most important point)....sorry mallows for not getting you into the MIB show.-Jay
October 7, 2002: A lot has happened since the last update. I've been too buisy and lazy to update so here's what's been happening...we had a practice and worked on songs for our upcoming show on October 13. Drew and I have been working on new songs apart from each other and they are finnaly coming togeather and now we need Tom to hear them so he can put a beat to them...well thats all for now, over and out.-Jay
September 28, 2002: Not much has been happening in the Monocle world lately. I did however do a few changes on the site. Drew and I have been chilling and practicing covers together and stuff like that but no real all out jam sessions. Tom has football practice almost everyday and when he dosn't he can't jam anyways because he has something else going on. I just got a new bass and it is awesome. Well that's all for now see you guys later....why do I say that nobody but band members ever go to this site anyway...-Jay
September 15, 2002: Nothing, completly nothing has happened in the band since Sept. 2 i figgured i'd at least update. With school starting, me working and Tom playing football and working we havn't really had an oppertunity to do anything...see ya later-jay
September 7, 2002: Nothing REALY happened in band news today except this...the September 1 and September 2 entries were entered by Andrew...then, he clicked new page on accident and they got erased because he didn't save them...all that hard work for nothing so I wrote down what happened and tryed to put some of the same things he put in them but couldn't remember everything, oh well. I decided to write this down too explaining the events while I was at it.-Jay
September 2, 2002: We had a little jam session today and it was short because Drews Jag-stang fucked him in the asshole (no not literally) it started feedbacking really bad and it souded like it was going to blow up. We were working on songs and trying to make them super and this happened. Andrew thinks that the soul of Kurt Cobain is out to get him and is fucking with the guitar he co-designed...at least he ISN'T doing heroin...sorry if this offends any hardcore Nirvana fans like myself...it just is true.-Jay
September 1, 2002: Tom had a little shindig at his house and we played at it...it was a short-lived show for a crowd that filled the palace...Glusticks to the Rescue played a few songs and then we played a few songs. Tom originialy said that we couldn't play because he didn't want the cops to come but we did for a little bit anyways. All in all it was a decent showing on our part and a stupendeous job on GSTTR's part...they are about 8 billion times better than we are (at least I(Jay) think so(but they think that we are better...go figure)) anyway we played a few songs and then stopped end of story.-Jay
August 26, 2002: It's been over a week sinse we updated so heres whats been happening...we (Andrew and I(Jay)) played at our annual block party on Friday the 23...we didn't have Tom but my brother playd drums for us (and shittily at that...he dosn't play drums he plays guitar) his band played before we did and we sucked it up and the usual crap...oh well. The cops came and shut us down, he said that there had been too many complaints about noise...thats ok we weren't doing too good anyways. Last night we jammed it was a pretty good practice, no chad though, we worked on a new song and worked on "Drugs are Good" by NOFX a lot and it sounds a lot better now...well thats what's been happening in the world of monocle in the past week and I have made this the longest entry!-Jay
August 18, 2002: It's been a while since we updated here so here are the updates...we finally got to jam yesterday and it was our worst practice ever!!! We sucked it up and about 10 people watched us...they now think we are the worst band ever. But hey, they might be right. Maby if we spent as much time updating this site and doing stupid crap for the pics page mabye we would be decent. Well im just trying to outdo myself here and make this the longest entry and I succeded!!! I am the greatest!!!-Jay
August 9, 2002: Gorrilla didn't quit!!!! that is a relief. He just took his shit home to use there. I knew it would turn out good!! He was just in Duluth for like a week thats why we couldn't get ahold of him!-Jay
August 8, 2002: We havn't jammed in over a week (our last one being on July 27 if i'm not mistakin), one or another of us has had work or something. It kinda sucks but it seems that if we don't jam for long periods of time we have a stupendous practice(it isn't a good excuse for not jamming). Oh well, look back often for more posts.-Jay
August 5, 2002: We did not jam today, but that is ok, because we are too good for jamming, so we will no longer do it (we fucking wish) but anyways, new pics posted and more are on the way, as soon as we figure out what we are singing we will post more lyrics as well, have a great day!!-Drew

August 1, 2002: Started Monocle site. Feel like a nerd by doing this but i m bored so i fuggured, what the hell? why not? We were supposed to practice today but it didn't happen. We couldn't find Tom. We think Gorrilla is pissed off at us for some reason and don't know if he quit or what. He took all of the equipment he owns out of the palace (our jamming place) on Monday. Hopefully everything will turn out ok.-Jay
