I can smile, I can laugh and I can cry

How did we ever get by?

Have you ever dreamt a fairytale
as silly as can be
Real in all your fantasies
but NEVER in reality

To create a man in all honesty...
Your own Prince Charming
Knowing he will never exist... and if he did?
Now that would be alarming!

What do you wish for?
One green eye and the other blue...
...the richest man in the world
Or any old fellow that will fall for you?

I'll tell you about my dream man
I was creative as can be
Little pieces from 100 men
to make the one for me!

He was to be slightly older
dark hair, blue eyes and tall
a preference for wearing trousers
...Oh believe me, there is more!

He adores dogs, and plays guitar
His interest is in the law
He's sensitive, caring and thoughtful
A man without a flaw

I even went so far
to giving him a name
and a small Japanese tattoo
...Oh what a silly game!

For it now must be told
that my "masterpiece" turned real
Oh geezus God - why pick me?
What is the damn deal?

Hmm...

So now you must be asking
Why am I so mad?
Shouldn't I be happy
that I have been dealt this hand?

Well... NO!!!

I wasn't finished yet - he is not complete
Once again I deal with this pain
How can I get over this?
...I will never dream (or love) again
