Most people believe that "god" is on their side. Most people think that "god" loves them. This is incorrect. As a matter of fact, "god" is not a benevolent deity, oh no no no no! "God" hates me. He is the one who brings me misery, pain, misfourtune, and a bad attitude. "God" is very useful. Every problem, every set back, every niggling little thing that makes my day to day existance truly intolerable can be blamed on "god". I only believe in him because it makes it easier to find a scapegoat. So it's "god's" fault that I haven't done my homework. It's "god's" fault that I put on weight. It's "god's" fault that I have worms / fleas / lice / scabies / an inoperable brain tumour / maggots falling out of my ears. It is "god's" fault that nobody likes me. It is "god's" fault that I smell funny. It is "god's" fault that my house burned down. It is "god's" fault that a plague of locusts descended upon me and the taps started running blood. |
