Chapter 1 5 - Vampire Hunting
Wednesday morning, Christi woke up, ate breakfast,
and headed to Transfigurations. She walked in the room when only a few students
were in there. They had Transfigurations with the Slytherins.
Draco Malfoy was already in the classroom. Christi frowned at the site of him,
but she sat in usual spot and ignored him. Professor McGonagall wasn't in the
room at that moment. Christi sighed a relief when she noticed that.
Slowly the classroom filled up. After the bell rang Professor McGonagall came
in. Looking rather stern. More stern then she usually is. She stood in front
of the class, looking around. When she spotted Christi she stared at her long
and hard.
A student raised her hand.
"Professor? Are you alright?"
Christi turned around to see who it was that said that. It was Dean Thompson.
Professor McGonagall looked at Dean and nodded. "Yes, I'm fine."
Professor McGonagall started talking about transforming a human into an object.
Christi took some notes, thing that that would be useful sometime.
When class was over, Professor McGonagall assigned homework. Christi took her
time, putting her stuff away, as she did have a free period. Once she got all
her stuff in her bag, she headed out of the classroom.
"Ms. Snape!" the Professor called out to her. "May I have a word with you?"
Christi turned around and walked to her desk. "Yes?" She said.
"What you saw last night better not get out to the school, or you'll find yourself
a month of detention. Do you understand me?" Professor McGonagall said.
"Yes ma'am. I'm sorry what happened, I never meant to barge in like that. I
just thought that my father was in trouble." Christi said.
"Its quiet alright. Now go on to your next period."
Christi nodded and started to walk out of the room. Professor Snape walk in
right when she walked out and she collided with him.
"Sorry, didn't see you there." Christi said.
Professor McGonagall looked up to see what the commotion was all about. When
she saw Professor Snape she stood up.
Christi went around him and out of the classroom. She wondered what she was
going to do in her spare time when she ran into Professor Dumbledore.
"Hello Professor, how are you doing this morning?" Christi said.
"Ah, hello Christi, I take it this is your free period?" He said.
"Yes, it is." Christi wasn't about to ask how he knew that.
"Not that it's any of my business, but, just out of curiosity, what are you
doing wondering the halls?" Christi though this a bit rude to say, but couldn't
find any other way to put it.
"I am heading to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. It seems that there
is a vampire in this school. He or she is working for Lord Voldemort. I need
Professor Moody to help me find this vampire." Dumbledore said.
"Is it a student or is it a Professor?" Christi asked.
"I do not believe that it is a Professor. It is most likely that it is a student."
Dumbledore said.
"May I help?" Christi asked.
"No, I am afraid not. Plus, I don't think you want to go spending your free
time vampire hunting." Dumbledore said.
Christi sighed. "I suppose not. Well, good luck on that vampire hunting."
Dumbledore smiled. "Thank you."
Christi walked down the hall, wondering who this vampire is. Well, for one thing,
vampires are pale. They wear all black, drink blood and stay up all night. Who
is it? Then an idea came to her. Well, not an idea, more of an 'I know who it
is.' She ran down to the dungeons and then paused. Wait, no, not him. He can't
be. Not my own father. Plus, Professor Dumbledore said that it wasn't any of
the Professors.
Before she could turn to leave, the dark and damp dungeons, Snape's door opened
and he walked out, not seeing Christi, and locking his door with a key and then
mumbling many charms and hexes.
"Gez, you don't want anyone getting into your office, do you?" Christi said,
making Snape jump.
"Don't scare me like that! What do you want?" Snape snapped.
"I . . .well, I was coming down here to tell you that there is a vampire in
the school. And . . .he . . .or she . . .works for Voldemort. Dumbledore was
just heading down to see Professor Moody. Thought you might want to know." Christi
said.
Snape's eye's got big and he looked scared.
"Excuse me." He mumbled, pushing Christi out of the way. He started running
towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Christi stopped chasing him
when they got to the Entrance Hall and went back in the dungeons to the Slytherin
Common Room.
When she said the password and entered the Slytherin Common room. She flopped
on a couch and stared in the fire. She then froze. It was a bit to quiet in
here. She looked up, noticing everyone staring at her. She stood up quick. Uh0oh!
She was in the Slytherin Common Room, not Gryffindor.
Draco stood up. "What are you doing in here?"
"I didn't mean to! I-I wasn't thinking. I had my mind on something else." Christi
stuttered.
"Well, get your mind straight and get out of here!" Vilent snapped, standing
up.
Christi ran out of the Slytherin Common Room and up to the Entrance Hall, out
of breath. She looked up to see Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape staring
at her.
Christi stood up straight and smiled. Then she frowned. "Please change the Slytherin
Common Room password." Christi said.
She then walked over to them and sighed. "So, have you found this so called
"Vampire"?" Christi asked.
"No, I am afraid not." Dumbledore said. "But there is something I do need to
tell you."
"What is it?" Christi said.
"Well, you will be needing to a meeting with Severus tonight." Dumbledore said.
"What kind of meeting?" Christi said.
"I am afraid that I will have to leave that to Severus to tell you. It is not
my job. But you will have to meet him in his office after supper. Now if I'm
not mistaken, you have an hour until your next lesson. Make it useful." Dumbledore
said.
"Yes, I think I'll go to the library. Good-luck on that Vampire." Christi said,
walking up the marble stairs. When she got to the library, she set her bag down
and got out her Transfiguration homework. After about 30 minutes of doing homework
and studying, she closed her books and put them back in her bag. She sat there
for a moment and then the thought of the vampire thing popped in her head. Well,
if it was with Voldemort, it must be in Slytherin. Draco? No. Crabbe, Goyle?
No, no. She got up and started looking for a book on vampires.
She only found two in 10 minutes. She sat down and flipped though the pages
of "How Vampires Live". She stopped at a section and read it.
"Vampires sleep in the day time and stay up at night. They cannot stay up all the time unless they use a waken-up solution to keep them awake . . ."
She flipped through some other pages and read them. Some useless. Then she turned to page 238 and found their eating habits and started reading it.
"Vampires usually drink blood from humans. They can also drink blood from other animals. If they do not eat they will come very pale. When they drink the blood, it goes into their veins and heart. . ."
Christi thought about that for a second. Who was
pale that was in Slytherin? Draco. But he can't be a vampire. He sleeps at night.
. . .unless he uses a sleeping Draught. Who else? Vilent! She has been looking
very pale and sick lately. I wonder. . .
Chapter 1 6 - Mystery in the Dark
After Harry and the rest of them got over the shock of someone being
in Hogwarts that worked for Voldemort, they went to Professor Flitwick's
class for Charms. They entered the classroom and sat in their usual
spots. She looked across the room and saw Draco Malfoy and his cronies
sitting across from them. They must have this class with the Slytherins.
She groaned at the thought.
Christi snapped out of her thoughts and close the book. She looked at her watch,
seeing that it was 5 minutes until the bell rang.
When the bell did ring, Christi was in the Gryffindor Common Room getting ready
for charms. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Sirius came in. They didn't have a free
period for some reason.
"Hey! How was Defense Against the Dark Arts?" Christi asked.
"Boring! We had to take notes on Death Eaters! Now we have to do an essay!"
Ron complained.
Christi laughed. "Well, I had a free period. Come here, I have to tell you something.
And Harry you need to listen to this closely. Because you are in Danger! Professor
Dumbledore told me that there is a vampire in this castle." Christi said.
"So?" Harry said.
"And he works for Voldemort." Christi said.
When everyone was in the classroom and the bell had rang, Professor
Flitwick started teaching them the sleeping charm.
While Professor Flitwick was talking about all the things that the
Sleeping Charm can be used for, Christi looked over at Vilent. She
looked pale and sick. She had also read in "How Vampires live" that when
they show their teeth, it looks like regular teeth. They turn into fangs
when the vampire is ready to attack.
Christi snapped out of her thoughts when she noticed everyone
picking up their wand and saying the spell.
After Charms, Christi headed to lunch. Christi looked over at the
Slytherin Table, seeing that Vilent wasn't at the table. She looked up at
the High Table. Professor Snape was talking to Professor Moody.
Professor McGonagall was talking to Professor Dumbledore. She wasn't very
hungry. Vilent and Vampires were on her mind.
After lunch was over she only had one more class. Potions. Professor
Snape was looking even more pale then usual. He seemed to be worried.
When the bell rang, Professor Snape held Christi back.
"Don't forget to meet me in my office after supper. If I'm not there
then just wait outside the door. Got it?" Snape said.
"Yes, father." Christi said.
"Good, now, get to supper." Snape said, smirking.
Christi went to the Great Hall. Vampires weren't on her mind, so she
ate freely. She missed lunch anyways, so she needed to eat.
After supper she started walking towards Snape's office.
What could this meeting be about? Christi thought, going down to the
dungeons. She got to his office, seeing that he wasn't there, and sat
by his door.
After about ten minutes, Professor Snape showed up. Christi jumped
up.
"Took you long enough." Christi said, smirking.
"For your information, the Headmaster had to have a word with me."
Snape said, unlocking the door. He opened the door and ushered Christi
in. He sat in a chair, behind his desk. Christi sat in a chair in front
of his desk.
"So, what is this about?" Christi asked.
"Tell me when you have a pain in your left forearm. Although I doubt
you will need to tell me. I will know." Snape said.
"What are you talking about?" Christi didn't need that answer
questioned at that moment. Her right hand slapped against her left forearm and
squeezed.
"Ahh!! What's happing?" Christi said in pain.
"The Dark Lord is calling us." Snape said, gritting his teeth at the
pain he felt in his left forearm.
"WHAT?!?!?" Are you telling me that I'm a-a Death Eater?" Christi
yelled.
"Yes."
"Why didn't I feel it before then?"
"Because, Voldemort put a curse on the Dark Mark that when you are
in your 4th year, you will be ready. Now, get up and follow me. Do not
touch where it is. People will get suspicious." Snape said, getting up.
Christi stood up, taking her hand off the mark, she followed Snape.
They went in front of this gargoyle and Snape said the password
(Chocolate frogs). They stepped onto the moving staircase and reached
Dumbledore's door. Snape knocked on the door.
"Come in." Dumbledore said.
"Headmaster, it is time." Snape said.
Dumbledore stood up and walked to Snape.
"Severus, don't let her get hurt."
"I won't." Snape said firmly.
Dumbledore took out his wand and muttered something. Then two robes
and masks appeared out of nowhere. He handed Snape his and Christi
hers.
"Now, put the robe and Mask on when you get out into the Forbidden
Forest. Christi, do you know the spell that makes you invisible?"
Christi nodded.
"Put the invisible spell on you before you leave this room"
Christi gave him a confused look. "May I ask why sir?" Christi
asked.
"Because if anyone sees you hiding Death Eater robes around, they
would start getting suspicious....really suspicious." Dumbledore said.
"Now, you better hurry up. I would start running if I were you."
Christi and Professor Snape took out there wand. They pointed at
them selves and said the spell. They then were invisible. Soon Dumbledore
saw his office door open and close again. "Good luck." Dumbledore
whispered.
Snape and Christi took at a run when they saw no one was walking
close by to hear the footsteps.
When they got to the Forbidden Forest, they took off the spell.
They put on their robes and mask.
Snape turned to Christ. "Every time you speak to him, call him
Master. Just follow what I do."
Snape lifted up his sleeve and touched the Dark Mark, he was gone.
Christi followed, but before she disappeared, she saw someone running
towards her.
She forgot all about the person when she arrived at the circle. She
followed her father. Snape went into the circle and then bent down and
started kissing the hem of Voldemort s robes.
"You called Master." Snape said
"Yes, Severus, I have. Now, get up!" Voldemort hissed with delight.
Snape did as he was told. Christi came forward and did the same
thing as her father.
"You must be Snape's daughter." Voldemort hissed.
"Yes Master, I am." Christi said.
"Good, You are part of my plan for Potter. Get up and join the
circle with your father." Voldemort said.
Christi did what she was told and followed her father to the edge
of the circle.
There was someone behind Christi who was waiting his/her turn. That
same person did the same thing.
"Ahh. . .yes. Brown. Are you doing well on food supplies?" Voldemort
asked.
"No master, I am very weak and tired. I am going hunting late tonight
but I must go now. Back to Hogwarts. Please understand Master." Brown
said.
"Yes, I will let you leave, you are not part of the plan for Potter.
Now go!" Voldemort hissed.
"Yes Master." Brown said, kissing his robe one more time and then
leaving with a pop.
Voldemort turned to the other Death Eaters. He scanned the circle to
see if he could sense anyone feeling guilty. Snape did well on hiding
that and so was Christi.
After he was done, he walked in the middle of the circle.
"There are three people in this circle that will help me capture
Potter. I will name them, they will come forward and unmask their selves.
Draco Malfoy!"
Draco was right across from Christi. He stepped out and lowered his
hood and took off his mask.
"Severus Snape!" Voldemort said.
Snape stepped forward and took down his hood and unmasked his self.
"Christina Snape!" Voldemort said.
Christina was her full name, but she preferred Christi.
Christi stepped forward, locking eyes with Draco. She reveled
herself and smiled at Draco. But Draco was a bit shock at what he saw. He
never knew Christi was a Death Eater.
"These are the three that will be helping me capture Potter. Draco
Malfoy, Severus Snape, and Christina Snape." Voldemort looked around
pleased.
"Severus and Christina will capture Potter. They will bring him to
me. While they are gone, I will give Draco his Dark Mark. Once we have
Potter, there will be no fun and games. He will be held by Draco and
Severus while Christina stands behind him. I then will simply kill him.
End of story. He will be dead and I will have full power again. But of
course we will not do this tonight. I will call you again and that is
when the plan works. You all are dismissed!" Voldemort announced and he
disappeared just like that.
Christi stared at Draco and Draco stared at Christi. She felt a hand
on her shoulder. She spun around and saw Snape. She lifted up her sleeve
and touched the Dark Mark. She was back in the Forbidden Forest. Soon,
Snape, and Draco popped up. Christi walked back to the castle with out
a word. Snape and Draco walked behind her not saying a word. When they
got to the steps, Christi sat down. She looked up when she saw that
they had stopped in front of her.
"Go on inside, I need to think." Christi said.
Snape nodded and walked inside. Draco still stood there staring at
her. Christi looked up.
"What?" Christi said, wondering why he was staring at her.
"I'm sorry, I never knew you were a Death Eater. Why didn't you tell
me?" Draco said.
"Because I didn't even know until tonight when Snape told me."
Christi said.
Draco sat down by her. He looked at her and then at the ground.
"You know. . . I never wanted to be a Death Eater. Yes, of course
I'm in Slytherin, but not all Slytherins go bad." Draco said.
Christi looked at him in shock.
"But your father is a Death Eater. Don't you want to take place
after you father?"
No. I don't." Draco said, looking at her. He stood up and smiled
weakly.
"I need to get to bed. Good night" Draco said. He turned and walked
inside.
She sat there for a little longer, thinking. After awhile, she
decided she better get inside and in bed. She stood up and walked inside.
She walked up the marble stairs, but when she got up the stairs, she
heard a voice from down below.
She walked back down the marble stairs to see who this person was.
She saw nothing besides a shadow. But there was no one to make that
shadow.
"It must be the invisible spell they are using." Christi thought to
herself.
When the shadow had went outside, Christi ran down the stairs and
waited for a moment. After she was sure this shadow wouldn't see the door
open, she slowly creaked the door open and peeked out. No one to be
seen. She went outside and looked for this shadow. She found it walking
towards the Forbid Forest. She took out her wand and put a Anti-noise
spell on herself so she couldn't make noise. She then ran towards the
shadow. She followed with a distant.
When they got to the Forbidden Forest, the shadow took off the
Invisible spell.
It was a she. She stumbled and leaned against a tree. She looked
sick and pale. She stumbled deeper into the forest. She stopped when she
heard a noise. A wolf appeared. Then with one clear pounce, the girl had
the wolf down.
Christi heard a yelp and the wolf was dead. The girl then started
drinking its blood hungrily.
Christi stood there, shocked at what she was seeing.
After the girl was done, she stood up, satisfied. She turned around
to Christi and yelped.
Christi stared horrified. She had found the Vampire.
"Vilent!! Your the Vampire?" Christi said.
"Yes, I am. I saw you at the Death Eater meeting." Vilent said.
"You w-were Brown?" Christi asked.
"Yes, I am. Vilent Brown is my full name." Vilent said, her vampire
fangs showing in the moonlight.
. . . More To Come
