If you are wondering who this webpage is about and who is that guy is with the fuzzy hair then you probably live somewhere other than Australia or maybe you haven't ever watched an episode of Australian Idol, either way I am here to give you the stats on Guy Sebastian...
.::Timeline::.
Guy Theodore Sebastian was born on October 26th 1981 in Malaysia. He moved to Sydney  when he was 6 years old and then again moved this time to Adelaide when he was 10 years.

He was already belting out tunes at a young age and had such an impressive vocal range that he started entertaining family and friends.

He also started playing the violin at a young age also to satisfy his parents urge to play a musical instrument however he only learnt how to play one song and played that same song at every family function for the next three years.

Guy is the second oldest of four boys. Oliver is the oldest, after Guy is Chris, 15, then Jeremy 13. All his other siblings express some musical talent whether it would be singing or playing a musical instrument.

He attended Kings Baptist Grammer School. High school music teacher Penny Vandervlag says "He was not the class clown but he was not the square peg either. He was popular with everyone". She also says that was was "A stand out student and performer".

He has been singing at Paradise Community Church since he was 15 years old. He also is part of the Solid Rock band and toured around Australia.

In May of 2003 Guy auditioned for the up-coming Australian Idol show in his home town. He nailed it on his first go judging by what Dicko said about his performance "You are head ans shoulders the best talent we have seen today". Part of Guy's win is owed to ex-girlfriend Jules who urged him to stay for the second audition (and ofcourse he got through).
Guy made it through the final 40 by wowing the judges at t he Seymour Centre. Week by week a contestant was eliminated by lack of votes from the viewers. When it came to the final 12 (including the wildcards) the viewers sat up and took notice of Guy thanks to his excellence song choices such as "Climb Every Mountain" which is pulled off perfectly and made the song his own and his own rendition of Prince's "When Doves Cry".
The final four came to be Paulini Curuenavuli, 21, Shannon Nolls, 27, Cosima De Vito, 26 and Guy Sebastian 22. Paulini was eliminated much to the shock of her fans and then there were three. The next sunday Shannon and Guy did their outstanding performances but both the judges and the viewers thought that Cosima's voice had a certain huskyness to it thus she made the decision to pull out on Monday nigh due to nodules on her throat leaving Guy and Shannon as the final two contestants standing. The following sunday they performed 3 songs each to give viewers a chance to make their voting decision. The viwers had 10 days from that night on to vote for their winning idol.

Jugement day came and it was broadcast on 19th November from the Sydney Opera House. The whole show went for 2 1/2 hours and was full of past contestants performing, recaps, tours from the capital cities and the like.
Finally came the time for the results that everyone had been waiting for. Both Shannon and Guy worked so hard to get to that point but there could only be one...

As Andrew G had a knowing smirk on his face and Jimmy James tried not to stuff up on reading the results. James said this "The winner of Australian Idol is...Guy Sebastian" A roar erupted over the Sydney Opera House, The Golden Grove Arts Centre especially and dedicated fans across Australia.

Congratulations Guy!

So now he is in in London with the other Idol contestents from around the globe competing to be crowed World Idol.
