Our Champion Knights

It was a case of 3rd time lucky for the North Ballarat Knights as they secured the 2001 premiership with a 23 point win over reigning champs Karingal, after two previous grand final losses to the same team.

The Knights Football Team are one of 18 teams, which begun in 1997, through the Football Integration Development Association (F.I.D.A.) and Recreation Connection.

The Knights meet once a week to training on Fridays, and play every second week. Each of the team members have a disability, and playing Aussie Rules helps them to develop their skills and just have fun! The training and team environment gives participants a sense of self-esteem, and a chance to develop hand-eye co-ordination, independence, or various interpersonal and communication skills.

For more information on the Knights Football Team, please contact Marg Iafrate at Interclub on: 5331 7778.
