YMCA = FUN

The YMCA is located at the Ballarat Aquatic Centre, Gillies St Wendouree. The YMCA manage the facility on behalf of the council. They have a vast variety of programs for all ages and interests.

Coming up in the summer school holidays, the YMCA will be conducting Adventure camps for Juniors (Grades 4-6) and Seniors (Years 7-9). The camp provides self development, indoor and outdoor activities.

The YMCA provides after school activities for teenagers including Teen Gym for 13-16 year olds. The Teen Gym is a fully supervised and supportive program to provide quality of life to teenagers.

A service provided by the YMCA is the 'Kyo-Kushin' Karate programs for all ages teaching self-discipline, respect for ones self and others.

Swimming activities are also available at the Ballarat Aquatic Centre throughout the year.

Open Water and Junior Lifeguard Progams teaches life saving skills and rescue procedures with First Aid.

For people with a disability an Adult-Special needs-Disabilities program is available with qualified assistants.

All programmes offered at the Ballarat Aquatic Centre can be tailored to suit all abilities and age groups.
