THE AUSTRALIAN DRUG FOUNDATION The Australia Drug Foundation is an organisation that provides campaigns focused on prevention of drug harm from both illegal and legal drugs, through organisations, information, media and media liaisons. There has been rather big changes in the way that young people are looking at the way they use alcohol. Bill Stronach from the Australian Drug Foundation said that generally the community is more aware of the drug issues and drug policies, and that there is no easy solution, but there has been major changes in society and how they deal with it. Many families are faced with a problem when one of their own is using drugs or alcohol to cope with family splits, death in the family or a traumatic experience in their life. Bill said that naivety was a problem for families and the community many years ago, but in most cases has changed due to an openness in the community about drugs and alcohol abuse. One problem facing people in the regional areas in the services available are minimal and sometimes located far away.
