I took on the role of Supervisor of the Youth@bility Newsweb because it clearly seemed to be an opportunity to have fun, challenge myself, and meet new people as well. I joined Youth@bility because I enjoy helping other people, and I am good at computers and love working with groups of people. My superhero is God because he has helped me live my life to the best of my ability and has shown me what to follow and what to leave behind. My parents are a big part of my life and also my brother and sisters.

I am 26 years of age. I studied Multimedia at SMB- Ballarat, went onto work as a freelance web designer, technician and trainer. I am interested in computers, science fiction, skateboarding and hanging with my wife and son. I joined with Youth@bility Newsweb after reading about it in the paper. It seemed like an interesting and challenging project. Thought my skills would be useful. My favourite drink is water. Favourite food is fairy floss. My superhero is Oggy.

I am almost 24 years of age. My interests include singing, reading, writing, driving and listening to music. I joined Youth@bility because I would like a career in the writing industry as a journalist/reporter. Also because I believe that my role as being a reporter for Youth@bility will lead me into the opportunity. Before starting in the job I was studying I was studying the Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing and Editing) at University of Ballarat – SMB campus, but put it on hold until next year. My superhero in life is Tina Arena because of her inspirational music

My interests are ten pin bowling, playing pool, computers and electrical repairs, playing my violin and repairing my house. I would also like to take the time to thank Highlands Personnel for giving me a chance to work with a group not just on my own. I am 24 years of age. I completed my education at Ballarat Secondary College. I have been in the entertainment industry as a nightclub DJ since I was 17. I am interested in music mainly. I joined the Youth@bility mainly as I see it as a challenge which I can achieve. I’d have to say at this time my parents are my superheroes for the reason they gave birth to me and have helped me through good and bad times. And I can count on them anytime.

I am 18 years of age. I have worked as a vacuum cleaner saleswomen since I was 14. I thoroughly enjoy working with people of every type, which is one of my reasons in joining this program. I also want to gain experience in the workforce and broaden my horizons. I have a keen interest in natural healing, the metaphysical and anything mysterious! My superhero would have to be my mum, who has taught me to be open-minded, honest and considerate to all people and things.

I am involved in Auslan and Women’s confidence classes for about 6 months. I am a client with Highlands Personnel and have been with them for 6 months. I am a deaf person who communicates via sign language (Auslan). My interests include reading books and using the Internet. My superhero is Julia Roberts – actress.

I am 24 years of age. I joined Youth@bility because I found that this project would be rewarding and challenging especially to contribute to the community. My interests are playing music – clarinet, playing racquetball, country life – horses and bushland, corresponding with people on the internet around the world and reading books. My superhero is God. I am a Christian and I believe in him and seek him spiritually and he guides me in my life.
