Text Box: Silence fills the room as the Quizmaster begins reading the last question of a tight match. Twelve quizzers sit poised at the edge of their seats, tense and alert like sprinters backed into their starting blocks waiting for the gun to sound. “Finish the verse: Everyone who—.” A buzzer goes off as three quizzers leap from their seats. He exhales slowly and suddenly looks up at the QuizmasText Box: ter with a grin on his face as he quotes, “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” Zach Traverse, Jessyca Pereira, Breana and Kelsey Johnson, and Nathan Christiansen have all experienced this. They have all had an excellent year of Bible Quizzing. It requires a big commitment which involves daily studying, Text Box: weekly practices, monthly competitions, and one annual tournament. Their desire to study the Bible has yielded friendship, discipline, and scripture memorization that has embedded God’s word in their minds and hearts. As the quizzing year draws to a close, they are already thinking about the next quizzing season. Come join the Bible Quizzing team and gain something that will last forever. We hope to see you there this September!
