Captain’s Log Star date 7.25.2006
Hi people. Well it appears that our baseball season is over now. Our team was eliminated last night. I am still quite proud of our gal! She did get on base once; she got hit on the arm with a ball. She has the mark of the ball on her arm. It isn’t any more than she does riding her bike and stuff but we gave her congrats for trying.
It wasn’t that the other team was that much better but there were too many errors in the one inning or we would have won. It wasn’t a sweep 4-2 the final score. The fact that she was the start of the inning and the other two weak players were up… well oh well.
She has a trophy now. 3rd place in the division, a lot better than any of us parents thought they would have gotten. She is carrying her trophy everywhere. She makes me watch it so Mathew doesn’t destroy it. If you want to see a picture of her with the trophy please email me and let me know.
I just got my BOOK!! A photo book I was thinking of offering at the craft show as a custom order. Of course as people are constantly backing out I am going to demand full payment before order. I am thinking if I may make those photo books for Christmas for family.
Now to get more than 2 minutes to myself so I can work on my website and getting some resumes out. Good luck there.
The interview with the State went well. It was at the State Library working in invoicing and ordering. It seemed a lot like what I did in the Navy so lets hope it all goes well, she mentioned that they check references and should hear something in a week or so.. Haven’t heard it ended that way… so I am hopeful
I have an interview Thursday with Social Services. I have 2 friends there, so lets hope that plays some. Labor program specialist is the job title. Well I can tell them what the major problems are from this side of it.
Unemployment request got denied, it appears an employer can treat you like anything they like and you have to take it! I knew that all along but it isn’t very nice to have it confirmed. Oh well, better off without all that stress.
Time to check the job listing. Mood today...
