It is a great time in the history of extracurricular activities at Xaverian High School. The formation of a Young Republicans Club, through criticism and disapproval, has proven successful. The attendance at the first informal meeting on 20 November was successful in a sense for the quality, not quantity of the new members.
In the face of criticism, as well as support, the formation of such a club has proven successful with a roster of more than sixteen members ranging from Seniors to Freshman to all-star athletes to honor students.
As the year moves on, the resolve of the Young Republicans Club will set precedence for its authenticity and influence through social events, charitable activities and relationships with other Young Republicans Clubs at neighboring high schools.
The establishment of this organization has demonstrated the ability of Xaverian students to voice their political opinion in an organization dedicated to just that.
Under the guidance of the Republican Party, the original founding of the organization and the roads that will be passed in the near future would encompass the values of the Republican Party.
