The jingle bells are ringing
The kids are making present lists
And angel hosts are singing
The sherry flows like Christmas cheer
The halls are decked with holly
The reindeer fly across the sky
And Santa's round and jolly
The money's spent, the turkey's stuffed
The mince pies are all eaten
The gifts are wrapped, the tinsel's draped
The Christmas cards are written
And final shopping trips get fraught
As people end up quarrelling
But thankfully tradition holds
