|| E P I S O D E 01 -- First There was Ginji & Ban ||

A high school girl attending Seishocho high school, Mizuki Natsumi, she was heading home to her father and was late. So, she decided to take a short cut, on the way she saw a cat and took a picture of a stray cat. Not knowing that a police officer was exchanging information with a gang, called Yakuza. The police officer tried to catch her, luckily she got away, but lost her toy cat that her mother made for her as a memento; the police officer grabbed it.

At the high school, walking with her friends they told her about the 'GetBackers'...they can retrieve anything back, 100% guaranteed! So, she headed toward the location of the 'GetBackers' office, which is a small restaurant called "Honky Tonk." She met the owner, Wan Paul, the 'GetBackers' Sensei while she waited Paul treated her two slice of pizza. Amano Ginji and Mido Ban arrive in their beetle car, The 'GetBackers' retrieval specialists, and fights over the slice of pizza of Natsumi. So, they listen to Natsumi, their clients' story. Ginji wanted to help, but Ban refutes unless they get advance payment; they're expensive. Too bad for Ban, since he ate the slice of pizza which was for Natsumi, consider that to be his advance payment so the job was accepted. Ginji walked her out. After returning, Ginji remembers himself with a group of people as he looks at the abandon building, he was the leader of the Volts, and has the Glove of Invincibility. Ban has the proof on the Police officer. So, the assignment has begun.

The police officer erased all the evidence, but someone has watched the surveillance recording. Ginji and Ban disguise to get in the Police Station. They pretended to be skyscrapers, Ginji tried to get in through the closed windows...ah-baka. Next, they disguised as pizza delivers, put laxatives in the pizza, which will make the policeman use the bathroom. Instead, a crowd of police men came rushing in, *sigh* they flew out of the windows...idiots...They couldn't get it, Natsumi was about to give up for she did not want to trouble them, but Ban told her to believe in them and wait; they're pros, that is the only thing his clients needs to do for them. The police officer was searching for young girls with the name Natsumi, since he thinks that she is investigating on him. Ban and Ginji were keeping an eye on the police station, when their car got towed away. awe..Ban is so cheap, he wouldn't pay for the parking ticket...so stingy..{hehe} The police officer gave it to a lady officer to put it at the lost property desk. Ginji and Ban went to the station and pay off the ticket, Ginji found the toy cat on the lost property desk. Both thought the assignment was over, yet at the high school the bad police officer was waiting to capture Natsumi, and he check through he cell phone if she deleted the pictures [he assumed she took photos of him exchanging information]. Ginji emailed her, they found the cat, which made matters worst, evil police guy thinks that Natsumi is working for the 'GetBackers'--he emailed them a message and arranged a meeting. The 'GetBackers' came to retrieve their clients. {such a pain} Ginji gave the gangs an electric shock, and burn out the lights. Ban, with his 200 kg strength in his arm, punch the guys out. He then used his Evil Eye and made them see an illusion for 1 minute, during that time they were dreaming Ginji saved Natsumi. Assignment completed.

Natsumi surprised them, she started to work at the Honky Tonk part-time. Ah, they have to help out in the restaurant to pay off their debts...{haha}
