	Aburame Shino: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Hyuga Hinata, Nara Shikamaru, Yuuhi Kurenai Origin: Leaf Village, Aburame clan Abilities: Bug Host, Bug Clone A strange and creepy Ninja, he is in Kurenai's Team 8. Shino is constantly accompanied by "Destruction Bugs", bugs that feed on chakra, which he controls, though this is not to be confused with his Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Spell). These bugs live within his body. As a member of the bug using Aburame clan of the Leaf, at birth their bodies are offered to these insects to use as a nest and to feed of their chakra. It is because of this a contract is formed that allows the clan to freely control the insects and use them as their primary fighting technique.
	Akado Yoroi: Occupation: Ninja (Genin), Spy for the Sound Village Affiliates: Yakushi Kabuto, Tsurugu Misumi, Orochimaru Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Energy Absorbtion Technically a Genin level ninja, he is a Sound-Nin, acting as a Leaf-Nin. His actual level of ability unknown, he doesn’t seem to be above the Genin level, despite an interesting Jutsu. Able to absorb chakra, Yoroi can suck out his opponents physical and spiritual energy just by touching them with the palm of his hand. Most likely, because of this Jutsu, Yoroi tries to turn his battles into close contact fights.
	Akamaru: Occupation: Animal Affiliates: Inuzuka Kiba (Hyuga Hinata, Aburame Shino, Yuuhi Kurenai) Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Beast Human Clone, Quadraped, Piercing Fang Akamaru is Kiba's Nin-dog and a useful companion in the Chuunin exam. Akamaru's heightened senses, such as smell and hearing, along with Kiba's power to communicate with him, make him a powerful tool for gathering and sharing information; he can also sense high amounts of Chakra so he can warn Kiba of a powerful enemy. Akamaru and Kiba almost always attack together and often use Beast Human Bunshin to confuse their pponents.
	Akimichi Choji: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Yomanaka Ino, Nara Shikamaru, Sarutobi Asuma Origin: Leaf Village, Akimichi clan Abilities: Meat Tank, Multi-size A Genin level ninja, he is in Asuma's Team 10. Capable of using a Jutsu unique to the Akimichi Clan, Choji can increase the size of one part or even all of his body. This technique is called "Multi-Size no Jutsu", and when combined with "Leaf Style TaiJutsu; Meat Tank" it is quit formidable. Although it uses up a high amount of calories, and (when combined with "Meat Tank") will leave you very dizzied. By using "Meat tank" with "Multi-size", he can transform into a large ball shape and roll towards his opponent with furious speed and even bounce into the air. Sensitive about his weight, it may be dangerous to insult him about his size.
	Akimichi Chomaru: Occupation: Ninja Affiliates: Akimichi Choji, Yomanaka Inoshi, Nara Shikato Origin: Leaf Village, Akimichi clan Abilities: Multi-size Choji's father. A strong, or at least large, member of the Akimichi Clan. Like his son, he uses the Multi-size skill, but to a much more powerful level. He can increase the size of his body even to the size of a large building. He helps fight the invading Sound and Sand Ninjas along with his comrades, Shikato and Inoshi.
	Baki: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin) Comrades: Gaara of the desert, Kankuro, Temari Origin: Sand Village Abilities: Wind Blade A Jounin level Ninja, Baki is a Shinobi from the Hidden Sand Village. The Sensei of Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari. He seems to have confidence in all his teams abilities although he comments on Kankuro not taking the battles seriously enough. Not much is known about him at this point, but the Chuunin exam isn't the only reason Baki and his team are in Leaf Village.
	Demon Brothers: Occupation: Ninja (Chuunin), Missing-Nin Affiliates: Momochi Zabuza (Haku) Origin: Mist Village Abilities: Unknown Chuunin level ninjas, they are Missing-Nins formerly of the Hidden Mist Village. Now under the command of Zabuza, another Missing-Nin from Hidden Mist, they contract out their ninja abilities to paying clients. These shinobis are known to continue fighting no matter what. Each wearing a sharp nailed metal gauntlet on opposite arms which are connected by a chain, they operate in cooperation. Surrounding their opponent with the chain, they are able to constrict the chain to the point of severing their target into two or several more pieces.
	Dosu Kinuta: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Zaku Abumi, Kin Tsuchi, Orochimaru Origin: Sound Village Abilities: Sound Manipulation A Genin level ninja, he is a shinobi of the newly created Hidden Sound Village. Along with his comrades Zaku and Kin, he doesn't enter the Chuunin Selection Exam to become a Chuunin. They are on a mission, given by Orochimaru and led by Dosu, to find and kill Uchiha Sasuke. Although thought of as a pawn by Orochimaru, he is a noteworthy ninja. Wearing a special weapon/tool on his right arm, with it Dosu is able to multiply the small sounds produced to their ultimate level. Then using his chakra, he directs the sounds vibrations to make sure they always attack his opponents eardrum. Damaging the inner ear membrane, the receiver of this Jutsu will lose their balance and for a while won't be able to move as they like. After the Chuunin exam's Third Test preliminaries, in the month that the participants get to stratagise and heal for the next test, Dosu decides to take out a little insurance to ensure his chances of winning the main event will be at their maximum, and he goes to the building where Gaara is staying. His plan is to kill Gaara before the test while he is sleeping but when he finds Gaara, he is very much awake, as is the demon inside of him.
	Ebisu: Occupation: Ninja (Special Jounin), Tutor Affiliates: Konohamaru, Uzumaki Naruto Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Unknown A Tokubetsu (Special) Jounin level ninja, he is Konohamaru's tutor. He doesn't like the fact that Konohamaru idolizes Naruto, because he only sees Naruto as the container of the Nine Tails Fox Monster. His opinion of Naruto doesn't change when Naruto defeats him with "Harem no Jutsu", after "Sexy no Jutsu" fails. Later, recommended by Kakashi as a great teacher, Ebisu begins Naruto's 1 month training for the Chuunin Selection Exam final. It is during this time that through being with Naruto and seeing the influence he had on Konohamaru that Ebisu realizes that Naruto is more than just the container of a demon, but that he is an outstanding Leaf Ninja. However, Ebisu does not complete Naruto's training, because Jiraiya takes over by summoning a large toad which tongue-whips Ebisu unconscious.
	Gaara of the Desert: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Birthday: 19th January Affiliates: Kankuro, Temari, Baki, Kazekage, Yashamaru Origin: Sand Village Abilities: Sand Attacks (Armor of Sand, Desert Coffin, Desert Graveyard, Sand Bunshin, Shield of Sand) A Genin level Ninja, Gaara is feared even by his siblings Temari and Kankuro. The Gourd on his back contains sand mixed with blood from the people he has killed. Whenever Gaara is threatened, the Sand from the gourd cocoons him in a protective shell regardless of Gaara's will. It can also be controlled with his Chakra offensively. It is the perfect offense and defense from almost every attack. Gaara's skills are frightening. 'Desert Coffin' will surround his opponents with sand, preventing them from moving, while 'Desert Graveyard' will crush them, so quickly they do not feel a thing. In order to maintain a military force, Sand Village had no choice but to increase the quality of each Shinobi. That's why Shinobis like Gaara were created. Born stealing the life of the woman he would have called Mother, he was merged through the use of his Father's NinJutsu, with a being who was the Incarnation of Sand. The living spirit of an old priest of Hidden Sand (Suna Gakure) that had been sealed within a tea kettle called Shukaku. His father, Kazekage, used one of the Hyoui no Jutsu (Possession Spell) that allows one to be possessed (by a ghost or spirit) before being birthed with his Mother's life as his nourishment. He was created to be Sand Villages greatest masterpiece. As the child of Kazekage, he was taught the secrets of the Shinobi one after the other. They spoiled him excessively and raised Gaara by leaving him to his own devises. He thought that was what love was about. By the time Gaara was six, and for the last six years he's had countless assassination attempts made on his life by his own Father. His mental state which was created through the use of a Jutsu was unstable and the villagers of Sand began to realize that there was a problem with Gaara's emotional side. To his Father who was Kazekage, Gaara was an embarrassment, but at the same time a frighteningly dangerous individual. Diagnosed as a dangerous being, he was only treated preciously as the Village's dangerous weapon. To them now, Gaara's just an artifact of the past that they'd like to wipe out. Gaara then began to question his existence. Finally coming to the conclusion that he existed only to kill all other human beings. By continuing to kill his would-be assassins, Gaara was able to confirm his reason for living. Living to fight for, and love, only himself. Killing others makes him feel happiness and alive in this world. Thinking that all other people exist only to let him feel this way, the world could not be a more wonderful place for him. As long as there exists people other than himself that he can kill, Gaara feels his presence can not be erased. The Kanji on his forehead was created by Gaara after the death of his mother's twin brother using the sand as a tattooing agent.
	Gai: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin), Sensei Intro. Age: 26 Affiliates: Rock Lee, Hyuga Neji, Tenten Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Drunken Fist, Powerful Taijutsu (Lotus, Initial Lotus, Extreme Lotus) A Jounin level ninja, he is the sensei of Neji, Tenten, and Rock Lee. Gai and Lee have a special connection, Lee idolizes and mimics Gai, and Gai has the utmost respect and admiration for Lee. A very talented Jounin, he has very dangerous Jutsu which he has passed on to his students, then forbidding those capable of performing them to do so unless it is to "protect a precious person". Gai is also described to be the "Eternal Rival" of Kakashi, and they have a record of 50 wins and 49 losses. Gai claims to be stronger but it is unknown which Ninja has had the most wins.
	GamaBunta: Occupation: n/a (Summoning Toad) Affiliates: 4th Hokage, Jiraiya, Uzumaki Naruto Origin: n/a Abilities: n/a A large summoning toad, his name means Toad Boss. GamaBunta used to be the summoning toad of the 4th Hokage but now he is also occasionally summoned by Jiraiya, if he can muster up the strength. After Jiraiya teaches Naruto about summoning, lends him his Summoning Contract scroll, and forces him to use Kyubi's Chakra, Naruto is able to summon GamaBunta also. GamaBunta also seems to be able to lend someone his powers if they use up too much Chakra. His other abilities include talking, and smoking a pipe, things which he does quite often, but are quite useless.
	Gamakichi: Occupation: n/a (Summoning Toad) Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, GamaBunta Origin: n/a Abilities: n/a GamaBunta's son, he is one of the easiest toads to summon but will only grant a favor if you give him a snack. He is first summoned accidently by Naruto to help fight Gaara, but he acts stubbornly toward Naruto. However, after Naruto saves him from Gaara, he convinces his father, GamaBunta, to help Naruto.
	Gatou: Occupation: Business man Affiliates: Zouri, Waraji, Momochi Zabuza Origin: Wave Country Abilities: n/a A wealthy business man and owner of a self named shipping company. Gatou takes advantage of his business to smuggle illegal merchandise. Using around 2 dozen low level Ninjas as his soldiers, Gatou takes what he wants by force, without hesitation, showing no sign of sympathy or remorse for his actions. At times when his soldiers are not enough, Gatou seeks the services of Missing-Nin (NukeNin). So that when they complete their task, Gatou's soldiers can overwhelm them and Gatou doesn't have to pay for their services. Gatou is killed by Zabuza soon after it is revealed that he was never planning on paying him.
	Gekkou Hayate: Occupation: Ninja (Special Jounin) Affiliates: n/a Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Dance of Crescent Moon A Tokubetsu (Special) Jounin level ninja, he is the examiner for the third and final test of the Chuunin Selection Exam. With bags under his eyes and a bad cough, he appears to be a sickly man. Since there are too many Genins who successfully completed the first two tests, Hayate conducts a preliminary round in order to eliminate half of the group. After over hearing a conversation by Baki and Kabuto about their plans against Leaf Village, he is confronted by Baki. Although he's commented on by Baki as being a talented ninja, he is not talented enough to defeat Baki. Hayate's Leaf Style, Mikazuki no Mai (Dance of Crescent Moon) failing, he is then killed by Baki. It is because of this that a replacement then handles the main event of the final test in the Exam.
	Haku: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin), Hunter-nin, Missing-Nin Affiliates: Momochi Zabuza Origin: Mist Village Abilities: Demonic Ice Mirrors, Water Needles Haku is a former Hidden Mist Ninja, and is a very powerful one at that; he also may be a former member of the Hunter-nin team. In his first appearance, he is masquerading as a hunter-nin from the Mist country, sent to kill/capture Zabuza. Haku comes from an advanced bloodline and has many special techniques, one of which, being the Demonic Ice Mirrors - a technique where he surrounds his opponent with mirrors of ice, and travels between them at incredible speeds. This makes it nearly impossible to find him and attack him, as he can dodge from mirror to mirror at high speed. Another useful technique he uses is Water Needles, made from water, they are frozen and controlled by his Chakra to attack on his opponent. Haku normally uses Senbon - small needle-like weapons that are thrown to strike his opponent at pressure points, or puncture vital organs. Haku is a master of Acupuncture - he manages to strike Zabuza in such a way that he appears dead, but isn't, this is called a momentary death.
	Haruno Sakura: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Birthday: 28th March Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, Hatake Kakashi Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Cancel Sakura has a crush on Sasuke, but she may well have some competition (from just about every female character in the damn series)… She's often self-conscious about her forehead, despite the fact that, if you compare it to the foreheads of some of the other characters, it's not that big at all. In fact, a heck of a lot of the male characters have a crush on her (for example Naruto (who she hates) and Rock Lee (who she's starting to respect)). At the start of the manga, all she seems to care about is love. However, during the Chuunin exam, her personality changes suddenly - she realizes that in her infatuation with Sasuke, she has neglected her duties as a team member - this coincides with her chopping off most of her hair (which she grew long because Sasuke apparently likes long hair). Then, she kicks sound-nin butt using her intelligence which is her main strength.
	Hatake Kakashi: Intro. Age: 26 Birthday: 15th September Occupation: Ninja (Jounin), Sensei Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, 4th Hokage Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: A Thousand Birds, Inner Decapitation, Tracking Fang, Shadow Clone, Body Freeze, Lightning Edge, Sharingan, Water Dragon Blast, Water Type; Explosion Hatake Kakashi, also known as 'the Copy Ninja Sharingan Kakashi', he is a Jounin assigned to look after and train Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto. Kakashi has memorized over 1000 Jutsus (probably more), all of which are very impressive. He learnt them through a special eye technique which can copy Jutsus called the Sharingan - also known as the 'copy wheel eye'. However, because he is not a member of the Uchiha clan, it seems to have been attached in an operation - there is a scar over it, and normally the Sharingan effects both eyes, not just one. Kakashi is a very powerful Ninja, one not to be underestimated. He is known around the world for his incredible powers. He is rivals with Gai, a fellow Jounin in the Leaf village. They have fought almost 100 times, 50 wins and 49 losses. Gai claims to be stronger...
	Hokage, 3rd: Occupation: Ninja (Kage), Leader of Leaf Village Affiliates: Konohamaru, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Tsunade, 4th Hokage, 2nd Hokage, 1st Hokage, Homura, Koharu Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Demon Monkey King Summoning, Rising Earth Wall, Shadow Shuriken Clone, Fire Dragon Flame Blast A Ninja who has achieved the name of Kage (Shadow), strongest ninja of a Hidden Village, Hokage is the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village. Sometimes referred to as Sandaime (3rd) because he is the 3rd of four KonohaNin's to gain the title Hokage; he is also the 3rd face on the mountain overlooking Leaf Village. Said to be the strongest among all the generations of Hokages, because of his genius, he was called The Professor. He has a large and impressive arsenal of Jutsu which he has learnt over his many years serving the Leaf Village. In fact, he is said to know all of the Jutsu that exsist from his Village. However, his strength has begun to decrease with his old age. Hokage was previously the student of the 2nd Hokage, and the sensei of Orochimaru, Jiraiya and Tsunade. Hokage has been refered to as Sarutobi Sensei, his real name, which may mean he is related to Sarutobi Asuma.
	Hokage, 4th: Occupation: Ninja (Kage) Affiliates: Jiraiya, Kakashi, 3rd Hokage, 2nd Hokage, 1st Hokage Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Unknown A brave Ninja who was responsible for sealing the Nine-tails Demon Fox inside Naruto, and is remembered for his heroic acts on the monument which over shadows Leaf Village. Before he performed the seal which would destroy the Demon Fox and himself, he said that he did not want Naruto to be viewed as the container of a monster yet as a hero who saved the Leaf Village from annihilation. He was a student of Jiraiya's, and later the sensei of Kakashi.
	Hyuga Hanabi: Occupation: Ninja Affiliates: Hyuga Hinata, Hyuga Hiashi Origin: Leaf Village, Hyuga clan Abilities: Byakugan A genius of the Hyuga Main House, at 5 years old she is already more talented than her older sister, Hinata. She receives intense training from her father, Hiashi.
	Hyuga Hiashi: Occupation: Ninja Affiliates: Hyuga Hinata, Hyuga Hanabi, Hyuga Hizashi Origin: Leaf Village, Hyuga clan Abilities: Byakugan, Curse Seal, Heavenly Spin Head of the Hyuga Clan, and father of Hinata and Hanabi. He and Neji's father, Hizashi, were twins. However, Hiashi was the eldest son, born into the world first, and deemed a member of the Main House. Hizashi, who was the second born, was deemed a member of the Branch House. Hizashi was killed taking Hiashi's place so as to protect the Souke. Hiashi thinks it may have been a mistake that he was made a member of the Souke, as Hizashi's son, Neji, is one who most truly masters the ways of Hyuga Clan.
	Hyuga Hinata: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, Yuuhi Kurenai, Hyuga Hiashi, Hyuga Hanabi Origin: Leaf Village, Hyuga clan Abilities: Byakugan, Hyuga Style TaiJutsu A Genin level ninja, she is in Kurenai's team 8. A Member of the Hyuga ichizoku(clan), main house, her father is the leader of the clan. As a member of the clan, she can use the Byukugan. Although a talented ninja, Hinata lacks confidence in herself, which is her greatest weakness. Having entered the Chuunin Selection Exam to change herself, Hinata has decided to stop running away from confrontation. Using the Hyuga Style TaiJutsu, the strongest Leaf Village TaiJutsu style, combined with the Byukugan eye technique, Hinata is quite a dangerous ninja. With this style even a slight touch is enough to cause drastic internal damage. This TaiJutsu which has been passed down each generation is what makes the Hyuga so talented. The Hyuga style causes damage by flowing their Chakra into the opponent's Inner Coils System. A technique that destroys the inner organs, a "Gentle Fist" style. A seemingly unimpressive hit, can be critical to even the toughest guy.

	Hyuga Neji: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Rock Lee, Tenten, Gai, Hyuga Hizashi Origin: Leaf Village, Hyuga clan Abilities: Byakugan, Hyuga Style TaiJutsu, Opening Point Attacks, Heavenly Spin, 64 Point Manipulation A Genin/Chuunin level ninja, he was the #1 rookie of his Ninja Academy graduating class. He was also considered to be the strongest and most talented of all the Genin. A member of the Hyuga Clan, branch house, Neji can never be leader of his clan. Using the Hyuga Style TaiJutsu, the strongest Leaf Village TaiJutsu style, combined with the Byukugan Neji is quit dangerous. With this style even a slight touch is enough to cause drastic internal damage. This TaiJutsu which has been passed down each generation is what makes the Hyuga so talented. The Hyuga style causes damage by flowing their Chakra into the opponent's Inner Coils Systems. A technique that destroys the inner organs, a "Gentle Fist" style. A seemingly unimpressive hit, can be critical to even the toughest guy. Neji's eyes can even see the Chakra Holes, above the Inner Coils System are 361 pressure points (TenKetsu) called Chakra Holes. They are the size of the tip of a needle. These are also called the Opening Points (Tsubos) and if you press these pressure points accurately. You can stop or increase your opponent's Chakra flow. You can control it however you want. These attacks can completely shut down an opponents Chakra flow. Making it impossible for them to do any Jutsu. And on top of this, Neji has a complete defense, having mastered the Juken (Gentle Fist Style), he is able to expel Chakra from his whole body and is able to defeat the physical attack with the force of his Chakra discharge alone. Making his body spin like a top, he dodges and pushes them back with their own force. Also making it a great offense. This is a secret Jutsu that is only passed down onto the successor of the Main Hyuga House, Neji is a genius among genius' to have mastered it on his own.
	Inari: Occupation: Civilian Affiliates: Kaiza, Tsunami, Tazuna Origin: Wave Country Abilities: n/a The son of Tsunami and the grandson of Tazuna. Inari's Father having died before he got to know him, after meeting Kaiza they became very close to each other. Kiaza took a fatherly role in Inari's life and even became close to Tsunami. Though when Kaiza was put to death by Gatou, Inari changed. He became a sad and angry boy, with little hope or optimism. Although after experiencing Naruto's character and finding out that Naruto had a past even worse then his. Inari realized the power of will over fate, and that no risk is to great to protect something precious.
	Inuzuka Kiba: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Aburame Shino, Hyuga Hinata, Yuuhi Kurenai, Akamaru Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Beast Human Clone, Quadraped, Peircing Fang A Genin level ninja, he is the leader of Kurenai's Team 8. Always accompanied by his ninken(ninja dog) Akamaru, Kiba is able to communicate with him and gain information from Akamaru's hightened senses of smell and hearing. Dispite this, Kiba himself has hightened senses, and many of his Jutsu involve canine abilities. For instance, by focusing his Chakra to his nose he can increase his sense of smell is 1000x. Kiba and Akamara fight side by side, using Beast and Human effect Ninpou accordingly, and a Beast Human Bunshin to make Akamaru look like Kiba. They attack using wild, animal like attacks such as Piercing Fang, in tandom sometime increasing their speed and strength with the use of Soldier Pills.
	Jiraiya: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin/Sage), Mangaka Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, (Formerly: Orochimaru, Tsunade) Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Summoning A Jounin level Ninja, he has grown to the point of achieving the title Sennin (Sage). A student of the 3rd Hokage, his teammates were Orochimaru and Tsunade, he is also one of the Legendary SanNin (3 Ninjas), and one of his students was the 4th Hokage. Jiraiya is an extremely talented and powerful ninja. Having left Hidden Leaf Village, for as yet unknown reasons, he became an author of adult manga. His most popular work being Come Come Paradise, which Kakashi enjoys. When he reappears, Jiraiya is in Leaf Village spying on women bathing; "research" for his next novel. It is at this point that fate puts him together with Naruto. He removes the seal Orochimaru put on Naruto in The Forest of Death, and gives him special training for the last trial of the Chuunin Selection Exam; which included Naruto tapping into some of Kyubi's strength at will, and Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Spell) of a powerful toad named Gamabunta.
	Kamizuki Izumo: Occupation: Ninja (Chuunin) Intro. Age: 24 Affiliates: Hagane Kotetsu Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Unknown A Chuunin level Ninja. He and his comrade, Kotetsu, create their own Unofficial First Test before the real one which they later moderate.
	Kankuro: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Gaara of the Desert, Temari, Baki, Kazekage Origin: Sand Village Abilities: Puppet Skill Kankuro is Gaara's brother. Another powerful Shinobi from the Hidden sand country. Despite his incredible strength, he is still very much afraid of Gaara. He carries a strange thing on his back called 'Karasu'. It is basically a puppet which he can use in combination with a technique similar to 'Karimi no Jutsu'. He grabs his opponents with Karasu and then transforms Karasu in to whatever he pleases. He then unveils himself from the bandage and finishes his opponent. He doesn't have a wide range of Jutsu's since he always fights tough opponents with Karasu.
	Kazekage: Occupation: Ninja (Kage), Leader of Sand Village Affiliates: Gaara of the Desert, Temari, Kankuro, Baki, Yashamaru Origin: Sand Village Abilities: Possession The leader of Wind Country's Hidden Sand Village. Kazekage translates to Earth Shadow. The father of Gaara, Temari and Kankuro, it was his design that made Gaara what he is. With the military of Sand Village being scaled down by the Daimyoh(Lord) of the Country of Wind, Kazekage realised that they must increase the quality of each Ninja to maintain a military force. As more time passed, the Daimyoh started commissioning Leaf Village with request he should have been making to Sand Village. On top of this he began cutting back on Sand Villages budget. Kazekage realized that if he didn't act fast, Sand Village would was in danger of disappearing. So, joining with the Sound Village, Kazekage plans to attack the Leaf Village in order to teach the Daimyoh a lesson and to re-establish the Sand Villages military force.
	Kin Tsuchi: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Dosu Kinuta, Zaku Abumi, Orochimaru Origin: Sound Village Abilities: n/a A Genin level ninja, not much is known about this Sound Ninja. Seemingly not very talented, she is in the Chuunin Selection Exam on a mission with her comrades to kill Sasuke. Later on, Orochimaru sacrifices her body so that he can use his Rebirth to Impure World Summoning.
	Konohamaru: Occupation: Civilian, Ninja Academy Student Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, Ebisu, Hokage, Iruka Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Sexy The grandson of Hokage, Konohamaru feels he is unacknowledged for that exact reason. Although he is still only in the Ninja Academy, he constantly attempts to suprise attack Hokage. To defeat him and aquire the acknowledgement of the Hokage name. Tutured by Ebisu, it is only through Naruto's influence that Konohamaru realizes that there will be no short-cuts to becoming Hokage. That it a dream that will take many years of hard work and discipline to realize.
	Kyubi [Nine-Tails Fox Demon]: Occupation: n/a Affiliates: n/a Origin: n/a Abilities: n/a A gigantic fox which attacked the Leaf Village 12 years ago (from beginning of manga). A swing of just one of Kyubi's tails would cause tsunamis. The leaf village shinobi were assembled to fight the demon fox but were no match for its awesome power. After claiming the lives of many Shinobi, Kyubi was finally defeated by the 4th Hokage who died sealing the demon inside a new-born boy. The boy was Naruto.
	Mitarashi Anko: Occupation: Ninja (Special Jounin), Examiner Affiliates: n/a Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Double Snake Assassination, Shadow Snake Hand A Tokubetsu (Special) Jounin level ninja, she is the examiner for the second part of the Chuunin Selection Exam of which Naruto takes part in. The second part of the exam takes place in "The Forest of Death", it is here that we find out Anko's past is linked with Orochimaru, he being her former sensei. During that time it seems she had also received the "Jyuin (Curse Seal)", but for an as yet unknown reason Orochimaru's connection to her was severed and the Seal disappeared. Though when Orochimaru reappeared, he was able to make Anko's Jyuin return. Thus incapacitating her with pain, as well as ending their fight. In which Anko exhibited forbidden techniques which she learned from Orochimaru.

	Mizuki: Occupation: Ninja (Chuunin), Ninja Academy Teacher Affiliates: Umino Iruka Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: n/a A Chuunin level ninja, he is Iruka's assistant instructor at the ninja academy. Not a very skilled ninja apparently, he devises a plan to steal the Leaf Village forbidden scroll using Naruto as a fall-guy, intent upon learning the powerful forbidden Jutsus within. Mizuki's scheme goes according plan until Iruka gets to Naruto before he does. A fight then takes place which ultimately ends with Naruto saving Iruka's life, and using the forbidden Jutsu Kage Bunshin (Shadow Clone) x1000 to beat Mizuki to a bloody pulp - literally.
	Momochi Zabuza: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin), Missing-nin Affiliates: Haku, Gatou Origin: Mist Village Abilities: Water Dragon Blast, Water Type; Explosion, Water Prison, Water Clone, Hidden Mist Zabuza is a Missing-nin formerly from the Hidden Mist Village, and the first major baddie that Naruto and team face after graduating as Genins. He is a close friend of Haku, and (being a mist nin) most of his Jutsus are water-oriented. He is also known as 'Devil of the Hidden Mist' since in the Hidden Mist Village, there used to be a final Genin graduation exam - a one-on-one fight to the death. However, one day, without pause or hesitation, a young man who was not even a ninja killed over a hundred of the students. That young man was Zabuza. The one-on-one system where best friends are forced to kill each other was abolished after this incident. Zabuza is a very powerful Jounin, as we see in the fights between him and Kakashi. One of his specialties is 'Water Prison' - a large ball of water that he uses to imprison his opponents, not so much powerful but very affective.
	Morino Ibiki: Occupation: Ninja (Special Jounin), Torture and Interrogation Squad Captain, Examiner Affiliates: n/a Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: n/a A Tokubetsu (Special) Jounin level ninja, he is the examiner for the first part of the Chuunin Selection Exam. As the Konoha Gakure (Leaf Village) Assassination Squad: Torture and Interrogation Captain, the design of the first test is obviously his. Described as a sadist, while not even exerting physical torture, Ibiki can easily make people experience mental suffering brought on by his interrogation skills. He knows the human mind completely, that's what makes him scary. By attacking a person's mind he can gain control over their spirit. Their weaknesses all float to the surface. It is said you can't escape Ibiki's interrogation. Ibiki bears the physical scars of having been horrible tortured himself, perhaps illustrating his ability to withstand torture, without giving up valuable information.
	Mubi: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Oboro, Kagari Origin: Rain Country Abilities: Mist Clone One of Oboro's team-mates, he is also skilled in Genjutsu. After Naruto tricks him and his team, he is no longer any match for the Leaf Village Ninjas and their scroll is taken.
	Nara Shikamaru: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Yomanaka Ino, Akimichi Choji, Sarutobi Asuma Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Shadow Copy A Genin/Chuunin level ninja, he is in Asuma's Team 10. He's the kind of guy who likes to spend his time just sitting around and taking his time with everything. He likes stuff that old men usually are into. So, he really likes Shogi (Chess) and Go. He's great with coming up with a strategy and Asuma has never beaten him once. Shikamaru would be a genius military leader according to Asuma. Although his grades from the Academy were almost as low as Naruto's. He felt that even moving his pencil in class was a pain in the ass and he always slept through tests. But Asuma had his doubts after seeing his skill at strategy games, so he gave him an IQ test once. The results, Shikamaru is a genius. His score was over 200. By connecting his shadow with his opponents, Shikamaru can control their movements. His best Jutsu is the Shadow Copy Skill (Kagemane no Jutsu), its only drawback is that there is a time limit (about 5 minutes) on how long it can be used. The ways in which he uses his Shadow Copy are quite ingenius, being able to stretch and manipulate the shape of the shadow.
	Nara Shikato: Occupation: Ninja Affiliates: Nara Shikamaru, Yomanaka Inoshi, Akimichi Chomaru Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Shadow Binding Shikamaru's father, he is a strong Ninja, who works with Chomaru and Inoshi. Like his son, he is a master of the Shadow Binding Technique, or Shadow Copy as Shikamaru calls it, and he can perform the skill with an unrivaled level of stylish-laziness.
	Orochimaru: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin/Sage), Sensei, Missing-nin, Leader of Sound Village Affiliates: Yakushi Kabuto, Yoroi, Tsurugu Misumi, Dosu Kinuta, Zaku Abumi, Kin, (Kazekage, Gaara of the Desert, Kankuro, Temari), Mitarashi Anko, Uchiha Sasuke, (Formerely: Jiraiya, Tsunade, 3rd Hokage, [Enma]) Origin: Leaf Village, left to create Sound Village Abilities: Shadow Clone, Curse Seal, Shadow Snake Hand, Double Snake Assassination, Summoning, Rebirth to Impure World Summoning A Jounin level ninja, he is a Leaf Handbook type S Missing-Nin. One of the Legendary SanNin, Orochimaru has the power to easily defeat a small country on his own. He's a Shinobi that all countries would have wanted when he defected from Leaf Village. Orochimaru has many Jutsu, both taboo and not which relate to snakes. Now the leader of his own newly created Country and Village, both named Sound, Orochimaru's intentions are to be the catalyst for a long and intense battle between all the Hidden Villages; Orochimaru has great interest in Sasuke, who will be the trigger for this purpose. He was also at one point the student of the 3rd Hokage, plus teammate of Jiraiya and Tsunade, and sensei of Anko. He thought himself a sure pick to proceed Hokage as the Yondaime(4th). When this didn't happen, Orochimaru left Leaf Village and became a Missing Ninja. Orochimaru is able to seperate his consciousness from his body, allowing him to take complete control of someone elses body. This is why he is interested in Sasuke. Using this Jutsu, he is able to live forever, making it an immortality Jutsu.
	Rock Lee: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Birthday: 27th November Affiliates: Hyuga Neji, Tenten, Gai Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Leaf Spinning Wind, Leaf Violent Wind, Shadow Leaf Dance, Initial Lotus, Extreme Lotus A Genin level Ninja, he is a TaiJutsu specialist. Incapable of using NinJutsu or GenJutsu, he spent all his time and concentration on TaiJutsu. It is because of this determination and hard working ethic that Lee has become an outstanding Ninja. When in heated battle, Lee removes the extremely heavy weights he wears on his legs. This vastly increases his already amazing speed. His greatest technique being the Lotus, which, after using opening the bodies Initial Gate, he can perform the Initial Lotus. This Jutsu is self damaging, making it (in most cases) an all or nothing move. A forbidden technique, all of that high speed TaiJutsu puts a lot of stress on the legs and body, leaving the user feeling so much pain they can barely move. Although Lee is not your regular case. Lee, oustandingly, can open 5 of the 8 Inner Body Gates. The first 3 needed to perform Extreme Lotus, a technique even more forbidden and dangerous than Initial Lotus. It is continous high speed TaiJutsu that can't even be touched, let alone seen. Its self-body damaging effect is many times worse than the Initial Lotus. This is Lee's Trump card, and he uses it to only protect precious people, or to prove his Ninja way: to be a great Ninja, without using Ninjutsu or GenJutsu. After using it for the first time against Gaara, Lee's body was so beaten up that he could barely even move, and, after his left leg and left arm were both completely pulverised, and he was unconscious, he still strieved to achieve his Ninja way. However, because of all of the damage that was done to his body during the battle, he was told by the Leaf Village medics that he would be unable to live as a Ninja any more, but after he had healed sufficiently, he was back on his strict training regime, pushing his body to new limits.
	Sarutobi Asuma: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin), Sensei Affiliates: Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji, Yomanaka Ino Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Unknown A Jounin level Ninja, he is the leader of Team 10, including Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji, and Yamanaka Ino. Not much is known about Asuma, only that he seems very laid back and is always smoking a cigarette whenever he is seen. He also seems to be related to the 3rd Hokage, and is a talented Jounin.
	Temari: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Gaara of the desert, Kankuro, Baki, Kazekage Origin: Sand Village Abilities: Slashing Winds Daughter of KazeKage, she is Gaara and Kankuro's sister. She carries a huge fan on her back which she uses as a powerful Ninja tool and, like her siblings, she is a very talented Ninja.
	TenTen: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Hyuga Neji, Rock Lee, Gai Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: n/a A Genin level ninja, she is a subordinate to Gai. Not much is known about her techniques, other than that she uses dozens of various types of weapons in battle.

	Tsunade: Occupation: Ninja (Sage) Affiliates: 3rd Hokage, Jiraiya, Orochimaru Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: n/a One of the three legendary Sage Ninjas and student of the 3rd Hokage, she is a bright and talented female Ninja but has a habit for gambling. When the 3rd dies, and Jiraiya turns down the job of the 5th Hokage, he volunteers to go and find "Princess Tsunade" for them, aided by Naruto.
	Tsunami: Occupation: Civilian Affiliates: Inari, Tazuna Origin: Wave Country Abilities: n/a The daughter of Tazuna, and single mother of Inari. Having lost her husband several years ago, when Kaiza entered her life showing such love for her son, she couldn't help but invite him into her home. Like everyone else in the City, Kaiza's death broke her spirit. In the years following she has tried to protect Inari from the painful memories of the loss of his friend and mentor. Tsunami is a strong women, with a strong will. When Inari is in danger, she threatens to commit suicide, which would have left no hostage for Gatou's men to take.
	Tsurugu Misumi: Occupation: Ninja (Genin), Spy for Sound Village Affiliates: Yakushi Kabuto, Yoroi, Orochimaru Origin: Unknown Abilities: n/a Technically a Genin level ninja, he is a Sound Ninja, acting as Leaf Ninja in order to gain information. To be more efficient in the gathering of information, his body has been altered to be able to fit into any space. This ability also has its benefits in battle. Allowing Misumi to get impossible to escape holds on his opponent, with the ability to then constrict like a snake.
	Uchiha Itachi: Occupation: Ninja, (formerly: Anbu Captain), Missing-Nin Affiliates: Hoshigaki Kisame, Uchiha Sasuke Origin: Leaf Village, Uchiha Clan Abilities: Sharingan Ninja level unknown, though he was described by Asuma as an S-ranked criminal. He graduated top of his Academy class at age 7, had mastered the Sharingan by age 8, became a Chuunin at 9 and was previously an Anbu captain at the age of only 13. Now 17, he is feared even by Orochimaru. He left the Leaf Village some years ago, after destroying all but Sasuke of the Uchiha clan and, after the death of the 3rd Hokage, he returns to the village and encounters Kurenai, Asuma and Kakashi with his comrade, Hoshigaki Kisame. With no intention of letting them leave quietly, Asuma, Kurenai and Kakashi fight them but are very easily defeated.
	Uchiha Sasuke: Occupation: Ninja (Genin/Chuunin) Birthday: 23rd July Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi Origin: Leaf Village, Uchiha Clan Abilities: Sharingan, Dragon Fire, Powerful Fireball, Shadow Shuriken, Mythical Fire Flower, Windmill Triple Blade, Shadow Leaf Dance, Lion Combo, A Thousand Birds A Genin/Chuunin level Ninja, Sasuke is the natural genius offspring of the powerful Uchiha Clan. The most outstanding Clan in Leaf Village, the Uchiha's advanced bloodline give them the ability of the Sharingan. This ability allows Sasuke to be able to perform other's Jutsu just by having once witnessed it in use, as well as the ability to anticipate what a person may do next, and see through GenJutsu among other things. Through the Sharingan, Sasuke has learned some of Rock Lee's powerful Taijutsu and who knows how many new technques he could have learned if he was allowed to watch the Chuunin exam third test preliminaries? Though Sasuke's talent is not only confined to the Sharingan, before this ability even awakened he was considered the #1 Academy Ninja and the #1 rookie Genin. It is becuase of these abilities that Orochimaru is interested in Sasuke and gave him a Curse Seal/Stigma. Receiving the small mark which appears on the neck through a bite from Orochimaru, afterwards the Sasuke falls unconscious. Then, strong enough to survive the 9/10 chance of immediate death, he regains concsiousness. Just by releasing Chakra the curse becomes active and forcibly pulls out more Chakra, stealing the persons mind. At this point the the small mark on the neck grows to wrap around Sasuke's whole body. It's a forbidden Jutsu which eats at the user's body. Sasuke's will power is surprisingly strong enough to hold back this curse and after Kakashi performs his Evil Sealing Method on him, it becomes even easier for him to control it and use his Chakra.
	Umino Iruka: Occupation: Ninja (Chuunin), Ninja Academy Teacher Birthday: 26th May Affiliates: Uzumaki Naruto, Mizuki Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: n/a A Chuunin level ninja, he is an instructor at the ninja academy. Introduced as Naruto's sensei, he and Naruto have a special connection. Iruka sees himself in Naruto because he also grew up as an orphan, he was around Naruto's age when his parents were killed by the Nine Tails Fox Monster. Naruto cares for him because Iruka was the first person to acknowledge him as precious person. Worrying that Naruto is being pushed too hard, Iruka often underestimates Naruto's abilities during his trials to become a great ninja. He is now Konohamaru's teacher.
	Uzumaki Naruto: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Birthday: 10th October Affiliates: Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi, Iruka, Konohamaru, Ebisu, Jiraiya, Nine-Tails Demon Fox Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Sexy, Harem, Shadow Clone, Shadow Shuriken, Naruto Combo, Summoning Uzamaki Naruto is the main character in the series. He is naturally impetuous and tends to rush into combat without thinking, and is very hyperactive. However, he is capable of devising some quite clever Jutsus when necessary. Naruto is the sealed nine-tails demon fox, and when he is under great stress or when his friends are severely threatened it starts to become unsealed, don't miss this, it's cool! He dreams of being acknowledged by everyone in the Leaf village. He is an outcast (nothing like being a demon to ruin your reputation). He has a close bond with Iruka, initially hates Sasuke (he still hates him, but respects him too) and has a crush on Sakura. Who hates him. Naruto also likes Ramen. A lot. In fact, Kakashi once thought that Ramen and being Hokage were the only things he thinks about.
	Waraji: Occupation: Body-Guard Affiliates: Zouri, Gatou Origin: Unknown Abilities: n/a A large man covered in tatoos, he is one of Gatou's Samurai bodyguard. Waraji is not very bright, and seems to enjoy cutting things. Naruto defeats him easily.
	Yakushi Kabuto: Occupation: Ninja (Genin), Spy for the Sound Village Affiliates: Yoroi, Tsurugu Misumi, Orochimaru Origin: Unknown (He was found as a child and brought to Leaf Village) Abilities: Dead Soul, Feather Sleep, Shadow Clone Technically a Genin level ninja, Kabuto is in Leaf Village as a spy acting for Orochimaru. Having intentionally failed and made himself seem an unimpressive ninja, he is actually on the Jounin skill level. Capable, even, of matching Kakashi in battle. As a young boy he was brought back from a battle, an enemy child, he was found and raised by a Jounin member of the Leaf Medical Unit Squad. Since then he has been hiding in his fake self. Described as Orochimaru's right hand man, Kabuto's role was to keep an eye on talented ninjas that Orochimaru could recruit, specifically Sasuke. In order for the next stage of Orochimaru's plans to take place.
	Yamanaka Ino: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Yamanaka Inoshi, Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji, Sarutobi Asuma Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Mind Body Switch A Genin level ninja, she is described as a very talented female shinobi by her Sensei. Ino has the ability to take over peoples bodies using a Jutsu called ShinTenShin. Entering her spirit into her target's mind, Ino can take full control of their body for a few minutes. Originally a spying Jutsu, it has many drawbacks when used in battle. Firstly the projected spiritual energy flies at the target at a very slow speed, making it easy to dodge. Secondly, if the target is missed, it takes a few minutes for the spirit to return to its own vessel. Leaving the Jutsu castors unconscious body open to attacks. Last, but in no way least, if the Jutsu does work and the caster's spirit does enter their target. All damage, including death, that occurs to the target while the caster has control will have the same result to the body of the caster.
	Yamanaka Inoshi: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin?) Affiliates: Yamanaka Ino, Nara Shikato, Akimichi Chomaru Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Mind Body Control Ino's father. Like his daughter, he has a powerful mind controlling technique which allows him to manipulate people minds without having to switch bodies with them. It seems his teammates were Shikato and Chomaru, Shikamaru and Choji's fathers, who also know the InoShikaCho formation.
	Yashamaru: Occupation: Ninja Affiliates: Gaara of the Desert, Kazekage Origin: Sand Village Abilities: Unknown Brother of Gaara's mother. Although of different sexs, the two are nearly identical. He tries to kill Gaara because he was ordered too, Gaara's sand protects him and knocks Yashamaru bloodied to the ground, dying. Yashamaru tells Gaara how much he hates him because he was the cause of his sister's death. He also tells Gaara that his mother hated the Sand village because they used her as a tool; a sacrifice to grow a weapon. Before he dies, Yashamaru has one last attempt at killing his sister's son: he reveals a chest full of expolsive notes and tells Gaara to die. However, the Sand Shield naturally saves Gaara from death.
	Yuuhi Kurenai: Occupation: Ninja (Jounin), Sensei Affiliates: Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, Hyuga Hinata Origin: Leaf Village Abilities: Unknown A Jounin level ninja, she is the leader of Team 8, including Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, and Hyuga Hinata. Not much is known about Kurenai as of yet in the series, only that she has just recently become a Jounin.
	Zaku Abumi: Occupation: Ninja (Genin) Affiliates: Dosu Kinuta, Kin Tsuchi, Orochimaru Origin: Sound Village Abilities: Air Slicing Blast, Ultimate Air Slicing Blast A Genin level ninja, Zaku was hand picked by Orochimaru to join the Hidden Sound Village. In the Chuunin Selection Exam on a mission to kill Sasuke, Zaku and his comrades (Dosu and Kin) fail despite their powerful techniques, such as Zaku's Zankuuha, which allows him to freely control super sonic sound waves and air pressure with a device implanted into both his arms. The cannons that are Zaku's arms can create blasts powerful enough to even destroy rock. Later, his body is sacrificed by Orochimaru to house the soul of one of the deceased Hokages which Orochimaru summons.
	Zouri: Occupation: Body-guard Affiliates: Waraji, Gatou Origin: Unknown Abilities: n/a Gatou's samurai bodyguard. He is the one ordered to murder Kaiza and does so by slicing his throat while he is crucified.
