In Round 1, the teams are split up.  One spins the wheel and the other stands by in another part of the studio awaiting the outcome of the wheel spin.  Each team gets a maximum of 2 spins per turn.  The Blue team gets to spin first, then Green, finally Red.  After the teams are through spinning, the scores are recapped and they get a second turn, again with a maximum of 2 spins.

The wheel looks like this:

Description of the spaces on the wheel
There are 12 spaces on the wheel, each with an instruction that the team must carry out.  Here is description of each space:

MAYHEM
Mayhem is a stunt that the OTHER teammate must perform.  They always have 20 seconds to perform the stunt.  Always played for a maximum of 50 points, the stunts are sometimes messy with varying degrees of difficulty.  Stunts are not usually used over...if they are it's with a different twist.  In cases where they must complete a number of things (Ie Hit 5 audience members with a water balloon), the team gets 10 points per completed event.  Other times, it's all or nothing  (Ie Find a feather hidden in a balloon) for the 50 points.  Check out a list of Mayhem stunts.

THE DUMP
Not as gross as it sounds, the dump is a game where the teammate who spun the wheel takes a ball (about as big as a whiffle ball), drops it into one of three pipes at the top of a slanted board and lets it land into a hole or slot that can alter their own points or the points of another team.  Click for a picture of The Dump and a description of the point values available.

TRADE & SPIN
You have to trade your points with any other team you want and you get a second spin.

UH OH!
A space of terror for one teammate.  The teammate who spun the wheel must answer a mutliple choice question.  If they get it right, the team gets 50 points...however, if they get it wrong the other teammate gets a bucket of goo dumped on their head courtesy of the Punisher.  The first round UH OH! chamber is shaped kinda like a milkshake glass with a clear front and a door in the back for the contestants to get in and out through.  The question difficulty varies greatly...sometimes they're really easy (Eg What is the body's largest organ?) or really hard (Eg When & where was the first car stolen?).

WIN & SPIN
You win 20 points and another spin.

SPEED ROUND
The spinner goes over to see Patricia and has 20 seconds to answer as many as 10 questions worth 5 points each.  Usually 3 to 4 questions in a row are related to each other (Eg Where does milk come from?  What sound does a cow make?  Spell MOO.) and then they go off in another direction (How old are you?).  It's rare that anyone gets more than 7 right.  10 correct answers almost never happens.
