The books of Brahma’s Wind from the East Forest, through the analysis of the minute matters in life one by one, reveal to us the true contents of spiritual practice, as well as explain to us issues related to true spiritual practice.
Many of us have lived in this material world for several years but still don’t understand the true value of life. Some people have taken to spiritual practice for a few years but still are not liberated and still transmigrate in the material world. What is liberation? How to get liberated? What is enlightenment? How to get enlightened? What are the internal patterns of the universe? By means of the brilliant expositions in these books, we will get all the answers.
It is told in these books that: the imperfection of life and the incompleteness of our love are all due to our discriminatory mind. If we merely accept what we want, picturing what a buddha is like with our own conception, and then engage ourselves in comparison, discrimination, and pursuit with our conception, it will only result in distress. We will forever transmigrate in the illusion of conception. Therefore, as is illuminated in these books, we can have a chance to hear the true words of the Creator’s representative—spiritual master, only after renouncing our ego completely, and concentrating our mind on the Creator with all our love to seek his protection. Through the penance of many lives, we can then become qualified to personally see a spiritual master in this life. With a humble and tolerant heart, we can then establish some truthful feeling with a spiritual master. When this feeling is adjusted to the state of compassion and understanding, we will then understand his words, and accept his Dharma. At that time, we will then look at everything from the standpoint of the soul, and rest assured that our body, mind, and speech must not be affected by illusory energy. If we remain in self-awareness in our action, it is then possible for us to obtain the chance of enlightenment and achieve the highest stage that humans can ever get to—love, which is complete devotion without reservation. Only by this kind of love can we open the gate to God and return to the Kingdom of God—the spiritual world, marking a perfect period for our life.
