Ode to Todd
He built a shrine and a pedestal for me prominently in his heart. Each day he would bring me offerings of his most precious love. He holds my hands when I lost my way and shines light unto my gloomy day. Sometimes I would press my ears against his chest just to listen to his heart beat. It is to reassure myself that he is real, and not a figment of my imagination. How strange it is that all my journeys in life end and began at the same time because of him? He doesn’t guarantee life’s certainty, but he has taught me love’s divinity. Perhaps that’s all it matters…
