Drs Shannon Black, Rajaa Al-Sukhun and me Rajaa, Shannon and me started our PhDs at the same time. Rajaa and me were labmates initially, she working on novel drug delivery under the supervision of Dr Colin Pouton and me on a molecular microbiology project supervised by Dr Anthony Smith. About halfway through, Rajaa was relocated to a another lab with other students researching drug delivery. Shannon started her PhD in Bristol, but transferred to Bath when her supervisor moved to Bath University.
