Dr Mike Threadgill is a Reader (a Reader being one step below a Professor and one step above a Senior Lecturer) in Chemistry in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology. Apparently, this was his sixth year in a row as "Chief Usher" at the University Convocations.
