Effect Monsters
I'm here to talk about and clarify the rule's on
Effect Monster's. The most common effect is the FLIP:
effect. "A flip effect is activated when the said
card is flipped from face down to face up, the effect
also activates if the card is flipped up due to an Attack,
Magic card or Trap card. This means if you play a Man-
Eating Bug straight from your hand to the field it's effect
does NOT activate. (take this to heart, I've seen plenty of
"Newbies"do this exact thing) The second and last effect we'll be
talking about is the Continuous Effect, The Continuous effect
is activated while the monster is face-up on the field. Two
example's of this are Wall of Illusion and Lord of D. (note
lord of D. has a debate all of it's own and eventually we'll
do something on that). Nomatter if you play for fun or
competitively, be assertive and never be afraid to challenge
something you think is wrong. Till next time... --J-Rob
