Rurouni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin is basically about 28-year-old Himura Kenshin,
who has a deep and painful past which he tries to forget,
but often circumstances would not allow him to do so...
Ten years ago, Japan was in chaos (during the Bakumatsu). Kenshin
had joined in using his skills as an assassin (hitokiri), his sword (katana)
was thus stained with the blood of thousands of men.
He'd felt that he was fighting and killing for future good. In attempt
to improve Japan, he wielded his katana, and because of his speed and
accuracy, he was named Hitokiri Battousai.
His deepest secrets include the fact that his parents had passed away
when he was still at a young age, yet the people who had taken him in
had died in effort to protect him. Moreover, he indirectly caused the
grief of his lover-- Tomoe, who later died to save his life.
This is about Kenshin honouring his vow not to kill any more.
This is about how he found new friends, who cared about him,
regardless of his past and regardless of his identity...
