Yuoo's Diary - March 2004
Wednesday, March 31, 2004 - Ahh. Busy, busy, busy. Yuoo hasn't had much time to talk with me because a lot of things have been going on, so I'm going to cover all of March in this one entry. Yuoo's Alchemy class has been going well. He tells me he'll probably get a C in the class, but that's acceptable because of how difficult it is. Yuoo has picked up a new hobby: plushies! He's decided to make stuffed animals for fun. He went to the fabric store to get needles, stuffing, thread, and of course fabric. He even bought a used sewing machine at the Goodwill thrift store. For practice, he made a heart-shaped pillow and gave it to one of the maids at Mortar Abbey. His next project is to make a leopard. This month, Yuoo saw the movie, "The Passion of Aslan." It told the story of the White Witch taking Aslan's life as a sacrifice on the Stone Table, in exchane for the life of a young human named Edmund. The story was good but nerve-wracking because of the violence. Yuoo has been reading a book series called Silverwing, written by a Canadian brown bat, Kenneth Oppel. Though he enjoyed all three books, Yuoo liked the first book the best. The second book was kind of morbid. (The topic was nuclear war.) The third book was downright creepy! (It takes place in the Land of the Dead.) Just today, Yuoo bought himself a pair of Berkenstock sandals. Yuoo would like to go barefoot (or should I say fox-foot), but in this day and age you really can't because of the asphalt and concrete. Yuoo's shoes would make his feet sweat, so he decided to get sandals. Also today, Yuoo got some new (potential) customers for his tutoring business. A family of cheetahs was at the library as Yuoo and A.J. were playing chess. The lady struck up a conversation with Yuoo, and she asked him to tutor her three cubs in science. One of the cubs is named Emmanuel. Yuoo likes that name because it means "Aslan is with us."
