Itsuki is Takumi's best friend, which is ironic because Itsuki is everything OPPOSITE of Takumi. First of all, Itsuki is always excited, anxious, and loud. He can be very irritating at times, but that's what makes him funny. Itsuki is baically the comic relief in the series and does and says some weird things. He greatly admires Takumi's drifiting skills and looks up to Iketani and the Speedstars. In order to join the Speedstars, Itsuki must own his own car. Itsuki wants to own an 86 just like Keiichi Tsuchiya. Unfortunately, he bought an 85! He was humiliated for a while and then learned to like his 85 (thanks to Takumi).
After school, Itsuki walks with Takumi to their part time job at the gas station. Being a really big car and racing fan, Itsuki talks non-stop about cars and racing with Iketani. Itsuki isn't excatly the best looking character in the series, but he is nice (at times) and always believes in Takumi, even if the odds against Takumi is high. In my opinion, Itsuki can be a pain and he never calms down. However, you might learn to appreciate him later. |
