| Wataru is the other driver that drives an 86 in the series. He makes his first appearance when he sees the Ryousuke VS. Kyouichi race in Akagi with his younger sister, Kazumi (he has a pretty good relationship with her). Wataru is from the Saitama Prefecture and is visiting (well, actually helping with work) his aunt in the Gunma Prefecture. Wataru is a very skilled driver and knows a lot about mechanics and settings. He is actually one of those drivers that just drives and puts no theory into his driving. He does pay attention to his tires and stuff like that during a race. Wataru is also very proud of his car, because every time he beats someone with it who has a better/up-to-date car, he feels enlightened. It has to do something with old cars are not pieces of junk. Wataru is also one of the best looking characters in the series. |
