All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the children of the Earth - Chief Seattle

The above saying is one of many contained in a CD called Dream Song by the Little Wolf Band.

I have been interested in Native American's for quite some time now, I guess it really started when I saw a cool handpainted plate called "Prayer to the Great Spirit" , on the plate a Chief holds up an animal skull to the sky. The chief is dressed in all his ceremonial clothes and the sky above is clouded over but at the same time offers hope for a clear night.

I eventually received that plate as a christmas present..(it's funny what parents remember hey @:) and I added another five to the collection. Since then, I started to think about the natives more and collected more bits and pieces. I guess the main thing I love about them is there respect and reverence for mother earth. They learned to live off the land as opposed to robbing the earth of its life.

I have been reading a very interesting book called "In the Shadow of the Shaman" by Amber Wolfe, this book talks about a combination of Wicca and Native American Shamanism. It is extremely full on and has lots and lots of information and exercises within it. I am about 2/3 the way through it, but I am taking a break from it as it is so complex.

I believe that in a past life I was a Native American, I don't know exactly at what time, however I do believe that I was in the Seneca Tribe. I have actually sent a letter to the Seneca Historical Society to try and find out a bit more about this. I once had a really good meditation where I talked with a Seneca Chief and he guided me through a very basic stone reading. He also called me Little Wolf in this meditation and I had a very strong feeling that he was my father in a past life. I hope to find out for sure soon, although my intuition leads me to believe that I am right.

I also hope that in the not too distant future, I can go and learn from the Seneca tribe or any other tribes over there that are willing to teach me some of their customs, traditions and magick. I really admire their love of the Earth and their views on life.

More to come on this topic soon...I promise!! @:)

By the way these pictures on this page are pictures of several Indian statues that I have in my room @:)
