Here is the next installment in my life as an up and coming Reiki Practicioner.
This past Sunday (Feb 16 1997) I spent a day at Elizabeth and David Copeland's house learning the various symbols and methods for treating a patient.
Here is their Business Card @:)
Here is a little bit about the training:
We started the day off at 10:00, Elizabeth (My Reiki Master) and I spent some time talking about various subjects while we waited for the other student to arrive. I noticed on the walls a bunch of new symbols that I had never seen before and I later memorized them as part of the Reiki 2 training. In this document, I'll first go through the symbols and their respective usage and then tell you a bit more about the methodology.
By the time you have successfully completed Reiki 2 you have learned six symbols.
Most of these symbols are Japanese Hiragana characters but the Tahn Zu and the Zoh Va are both in Kofuto language. Now to describe their usage.
The Choku Rei
As mentioned in the previous page, the Chouku Rei is the very first symbol you learn in Reiki 1. It is used most often of all of the symbols that you learn. It is used to clear and open up chakras and cleanse any blockages in the body. It is always drawn three times when used.
The Tahn Zu
The Tahn Zu is the only symbol you don't actually draw. You do however mimic it's shape and form physically. The Tahn Zu is used to ground and un-ground yourself during the day.
The Zoh Va
The Zoh Va is used for two purposes, the first being used in absent healing. That is, if you are physically away from your patient. The Zoh Va can be used in certain ways to heal your patient whilst you are not with them. The second usage of the Zoh Va is to talk and gain energy from trees. I haven't as yet used this aspect of the Zoh Va, but stay tuned cos it won't be long!!
The Tam a ra sha
The Tam a ra sha is primarily used as a protection symbol. It can be used to protect oneself, property or valuables. It is also used in quick problem solving.
The Sei He Ki
The Sei He Ki is a really cool looking symbol (By the way, I'll have pictures of these symbols up soon) and a very useful symbol too. The Sei He Ki is used to contact your higher consciousness. Your higher consciousness knows all and can help you to resolve problems in your life as well as providing you with genuine needs in your life. It is a very powerful symbol and should only be used after the patient has been relaxed and the energy has been raised.
The Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen
The Hon Sha is the most complicated of all of the symbols, it has 22 strokes and must be drawn accurately to ensure effectiveness. The Hon Sha is used for distant healing. The Hon Sha is used in combination with the Zoh Va for effective distance healing as you are both distant and absent from your patient.
Methodology
In Reiki 2, you learn how to treat the back side (not just the butt) of the body. After you have learned Reiki 2 you are now qualified to give a full Reiki treatment. The treatment starts at the feet and works its way up to the hips, kidneys and the spine.
You learn the benefits and also the method of healing patients over distance and also in time. You can build up Reiki Energy and store it for a later time when you need it most. Some examples are: Job interviews, Tests etc.
The first thing that happens to you in Reiki 2 is the attunements. Your Reiki Master passes on their knowledge and power to you, which boosts up your Reiki Energy. I was amazed at the feeling I got when I started a treatment, I could definitely feel a lot more energy coming out of my hands.
I will be putting more about Reiki 2 on this page later when I get a chance!
