I was born in Duri, Riau, Indonesia and grew up in Riau & Jakarta, Indonesia. My parents sent me (and my brothers) to Jakarta to get a better education in High School and University. Living away from my parents was a tough moment for me because I had to manage my life with no supervision. I was very fortunate to have a strict guidence from the parents, so I can live on my own with no bad influences. I got my first job in Arthur Andersen Indonesia, known also as SGV Utomo & Co. or PUCO, when I was in last semester of my school, University of Indonesia. I found it's hard to share my time between study and work together. Soon after a short career in that public accounting firm, I was hired by PT SMART Tbk, agribusiness company, which the brand products are Filma, Kunci Mas, Palmboom, etc. Having position as a business controller was my last career in Indonesia.
I moved away from my home country and came to America only to be with my husband, Brad. We presently live in Sterling, VA. Often, our weekends involve long walks and readings together, and sometimes going to see mountains and auctions. |
