SLAYERS: BOOK OF SPELLS

SummaryBefore the events of the TV series, Lina adventures with her friend/companion/rival Naga. Three separate episodes about the three different adventures of theirs. Genre: comedy/fantasy.
PlotFitting three different plots into three different episodes doesn't work too well.
CharactersWe only have Lina and Naga here -_-. And Naga's kind of annoying. On the other hand, she's still funny, and we do have Lina!
HumorNot as funny as the rest of Slayers that we know and love, but it's still funny.
AnimationBelow average, but it doesn't really detract from the overall experience.
MusicHayashibara Megumi sings the intro and endings- what could be better?
Japanese voices and subtitlesThey all fit so well. I especially love Lina's voice.
Dubbed voicesLina's voice is terrible.
Bishounen factorNot in the movie.
Cutesy factorLina Inverse is one kawaii hyper sorceress! Naga also has some cute colored bubble-thingies.
NotesCreated by Kadokawa Shoten. Hayashibara Megumi does Lina's voice and sings the theme songs. You don't have to watch any of the TV series to get it. I this can also be viewed as two separate VHSes, Slayers: Dragon Slave and Slayers: Explosion Array.
