Surprise! When I saw that Star Ocean EX was coming out, I was so excited! But when I opened the May issue of Animedia and saw the seiyuu list, I damned near fell over! It's kinda obvious who my favorite seiyuu is, so I didn't really need this to feed into my obsession =><= Luckily, Crawd isn't my favorite character, but he may very well turn out to be if I get hooked long enough =^^= That's what happened with Arc the Lad... In any event, this is the first installment of the Ocean Voice Actors section in Shounen GanGan, appearing in the June 2001 issue. Wai, wa~i, it's almost like Weiß kreuz revisited with this seiyuu list... =--= munya...

Yuuji Ueda as Crawd C. Kenny

Yuuji Ueda has quite a career in the world of anime: Akito Tenkawa (Martian Successor Nadesico), Hamel (Violinist of Hameln), Sanosuke (Rurouni Kenshin), Takeshi (Pocket Monsters), etc.

Aya Hisakawa as Rena Lanford

Aya Hisakawa is also very well-known in the anime world, not only playing several major roles, but also releasing about as many CD albums as Megumi Hayashibara: Keroberos (Card Captor Sakura), Skuld (Ah! Megami-sama), Akemi Mizuno (Sailor Moon), Saeko Nanase (High School Aura Buster), etc.

Daisuke Sakaguchi as Ashton Anchors

Boy's got a very distinctive voice =^^= So cute =^^= It seems like he's not as appreciated as he should be: Mikimaro Shimura (Sotsugyo M), Tasuke Nanase (Mamotte Shugogetten), Tai-itsu Shinjin (Senkaiden Houshinengi), Usso Evin (V Gundam), etc.

Yuki Kaida as Celine Jules

This person may be fairly new to the big time seiyuu. I saw her name for the first time in Animedia's Popular Seiyuu Data File 2000: Curarpikt (Hunter x Hunter), Marina (Tiger Adventure), etc.

Ryou Horigawa as Dias Flac

I didn't know who this person was until a friend pointed out that he rarely does any roles. The only major role he gave me was Vegita (Dragon Ball Z).

Hiro Yuuki as Crawd C. Kenny

Wa~i, boku no ichiban daisukina seiyuu =^^= See his picture up above? Did you know he's about forty (as of writing this page)? It's true, his career dates back to Speed Racer! Aside from being in the seiyuu unit Weiß kreuz, he's also vocal in Platonic Force Mode, and he's been doing a radio talk program called "Hiro-Chie!! Radio Animate" for a pretty long time =^^= Well, here are some of his other roles: Omi Tsukiyono (Weiß kreuz), Arc Eda Ricoln (Arc the Lad), Marcel (Angelique), Signal (Twin Signal), Adeu Warsam (Lord of Lords Ryuu Knight), Ryousuke Sakia (High School Aura Buster), Taikoubou (Senkaiden Houshinengi), Dios (Shoujo Kakumei Utena), Akihiro Fujii (Akachan to Boku), Black Lamuness (VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire), Hayato (Legend of BASARA), Makoto Hyuuga (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Reisui (Rurouni Kenshin), and believe me, I can list way more.

Here's someone also underappreciated. Hell, I didn't even know she was in some of these roles until I looked it up: Creao (Sorcerous Stabber Orphen), Flute (Violinist of Hameln), Miruru (Tenshi ni Narumon!), Kasumi (Pocket Monsters), etc.

Tomokazu Seki as Ashton Anchors

Wai, wai, Ken-kun! Another Weiß favorite! In terms of pure vocal talent, I hold Tomokazu Seki high: Ken Hidaka (Weiß kreuz), Shuuichi Shindou (Gravitation), Kamui (X (movie)), Chichiri (Fushigi Yuugi), Stahn Aerlon (Tales of Destiny), Kai (Toki no Daichi), Kiba (High School Aura Buster), Kiri (WEST END), Hatsune Washikata (Z/ETA), Guy Daigouji (Martian Successor Nadesico), etc... (Look for him as Anime-Tenchou aka "Captain Animate" =^^= )

Mami Kingetsu as Celine Jules

Here's another person who doesn't do very many major roles (then again, I think she does mostly adult roles): Miharu (Gasaraki), Izumi (Princess Nine), Maki (Burnup Excess), Shiori Fujisaki (Tokimeki Memorial), etc

Takehito Koyasu as Dias Flac

Suge~ Number one seiyuu himself! The original producer for Weiß kreuz, Z/ETA, and Lunar Pitris! ZAZEL project man! =^^= Now this is a seiyuu who commands respect: Aya (Ran Fujimiya)(Weiß kreuz), Sakano (Gravitation), Olivie (Angelique), Takayuki Onjuku (Z/ETA), Hotohori (Fushigi Yuugi), Iruparattso (Excel Saga), Touga Kiriyuu (Shoujo Kakumei Utena), Sensei (Tsvai)(WEST END), Zechs Merquis (Gundam W), Shinobu Saiga (High School Aura Buster), Pulse (Twin Signal), etc.
