CD drama vol2 They don't give you much info about the CD at all on the cover, nothing about the seiyuu, nothing about the story, just images of the main characters: Rena on the cover of vol1 and Crawd on the cover on vol2. I hate Rena, so of course I chose Crawd... But I don't like him much either. So I went in blindly, hoping that they used the same seiyuu as in the game (this was long before EX), but I knew that the company that released the CD's is very dependent when it comes to preserving the seiyuu (that's what they did for Arc the Lad II and Toki no Daichi). Happily, they did use the same seiyuu =^^= and it starts with cute little Daisuke Sakaguchi as Ashton ![]() I still haven't finished the game... Hell, I haven't even come close (the farthest I've gotten is returning from Hoffmann Ruins... then I accidentally erased the file ![]() The party's in Herlie, and Gyoro and Ururun are fighting again, as usual... You know the private action when you're playing as Rena and Ashton finds Elenore's ribbon... (Or rather, they call it a handkerchief) The poor girl's sick, and the party has to find the Metalx herb to make the medicine to cure her. It's funny when Gyoro and Ururun scare her, and when she asks if they're his friends, he answers, "Zen-zen... Mou sugu oidasunda..." ("I guess... I can't very easily get rid of them") Which of course pisses them off and they start beating on him =^^= It's also nice that they use BGM from the game, so you hear the theme to Lasguss Mountains as they search for the herb =^^= But it's especially fun to hear Gyoro and Ururun fighting over Ashton (they're so cute ![]() The second track starts with Crawd's memory with his father on the Karnas, and it's nice to hear Dias actually showing some compassion towards Crawd. But you know Dias. When Crawd thanks him for being worried about him, Dias simply says that it's for Rena's sake =^^= And Precis is so cute when she asks Dias if he's worried about Crawd and Rena, but Dias refuses to speak to such an annoying "child" ("Muuu! Nanka MUKATSUKU!") Well, the party's looking for Mirage in this storyline. And it's nice to hear the omake story track in which you hear several of the phrases from the game linked to one horrible ordeal =^^= There's only three tracks on this CD, but they're each pretty long, totalling over 50min of drama, and there're a few points about the seiyuu that make it easy to make some pretty twisted doujinshi (hint, hint =++= nyahaha...) Like Precis and Ururun sharing the same seiyuu ![]() ![]() This CD's great for fans of the traditional game, but probably not so much for those who haven't played the game in Japanese. However, the seiyuu listing is incredible =^^= Pretty much every one of the main cast is a big name in anime =^^= ...But if you're familiar with some of the other releases by Plenty Saman, you'd be a little disappointed... They did a much better job, in story, planning, and packaging for Toki no Daichi and Arc the Lad II =^^= |
