1. Introduction

The TNT mailing list (TNT ML) was started as a manually maintained e-mail mailing list by Yutaka Uchimura back in December, 1996. In August '99, TNT ML is changing to an automated mailing list running at Onelist.com. Main purpose of TNT ML is to share information about TNT and TNT-related bands with fans from all over the world. As of July 26 '99, there are about 210 subscribers from many different countries including the management of TNT in Norway.

2. Subscribing to the TNT ML

After you read this document entirely and agree to the rules, you'll find a link to a web page at onelist.com. Please click it and your web browser will take you to a web page where you can subscribe to TNT ML. If you do not have an account on Onelist, you can create one at this time. You will get to choose Normal or Digest format. With normal format, you will receive all the posts to TNT ML individually after they are received by the mail server at Onelist.com. With Digest format, you will receive all the posts in one huge e-mail once a day.

3. Posting/Replying to TNT ML

Once you receive a confirmation e-mail from Onelist, you can post to TNT ML. There are two ways to post to TNT ML. The easier way is to simply send e-mail to tntml@onelist.com with a proper subject. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS ADDRESS TO TRY TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM TNT ML! Procedure for unsubscribing is totally different and is explained later in this document. Another way is to use 'Post Message' function at the Onelist.com web site also explained later. Even though TNT ML is not moderated meaning you can post anything you want to, there are some simple guidelines you have to follow when you post or reply to TNT ML.

* * * Very Simple Posting Guidelines * * *

A) This is the "TNT" mailing list
As explained in Introduction, TNT ML is for sharing information about TNT and other TNT-related bands. In other words, your post must be related to one of these things below :

1) TNT - Tony Harnell, Ronni Le Tekro, Morty Black, and Frode Hansen
2) Side projects by current members of TNT : Bad Habitz, Vagabond, Rypdal & Tekro, WestWorld, Morning Wood, etc.
3) Support members of TNT and their bands : Dag Stokke
4) Former members of TNT and their bands : Dag Ingebrigtsen, Steiner Eikum, Morten "Diesel" Dahl, Kenneth Odiin, and Johnny Macaluso -- Tindrum, Riot, etc.

As long as your post is "somehow" related to something above, it can be about anything. These are just a few examples of how you can use TNT ML.

I) Ask other subscribers about discs you don't have.
II) Tell others how you became a TNT fan
III) Ask musicians on TNT ML about instruments and equipments TNT uses/techniques to play TNT songs/scores of TNT songs, etc.
IV) Tell others about discs available only in your country.
V) Send your review of albums or concerts you've been to.
VI) Use it as Classified section (buy/sell/trade - please see Bootleg Issue section below before posting about bootlegs).

Some people are thoughtful and want to forward virus warnings, chain letters to become happy, etc.; however, they are NOT allowed on TNT ML. Also, if you'd like to reply to a specific subscriber personally, please e-mail him/her directly instead of posting to TNT ML.

B) Bootleg Issue

As you may already know, IT IS ILLEGAL TO MAKE A COPY OF ANY TNT MATERIALS. The management of TNT is subscribing to TNT ML, and they are ready to sue you :) I do understand that if you're a collector, you want to have everything either officially released or bootlegs, so I made these rules.

I) You may NOT post about copies you make

Don't post anything like : "If you don't have Intuition, I can make you a copy" or "Send me money for a blank tape and shipping, and I'll make you a copy of Forever Shine On live video".

II) You can talk about bootlegs available in the market

Since you're not the one making illegal copies, you can post something like : "I found this bootleg CD at the store today."

C) Make It Legible

It is very important to make your posts legible by other subscribers. Here are some 'no-no's.

I) Extracting the entire e-mail instead of a few pertinent lines in your reply - This is VERY important when you're subscribing to TNT ML in Digest format with tons of e-mail in it.
II) TURNING CAPS LOCK ON THROUGHOUT YOUR E-MAIL
III) Not hitting Enter key at the end of the line (the 70th character from the left is the recommend position)
IV) Posting with no subject - Some people are too busy to read all the posts. Please put an appropriate subject, so that they can tell what your post is about by reading the subject line.

D) No Attachments

Absolutely no attachments (gif, jpg, wav, mp3, html, etc.) are allowed on TNT ML. The Onelist mail server will eliminate attachments if you post any.

E) Nettiquette

TNT ML is open for everybody and rated as "Safe For Kids" on onelist.com. Please use your common sense when posting, for example, it's not acceptable to start flaming/fighting, use cusswords, etc. Be friendly to other subscribers :)

Please keep in mind that if you violate any rules above for the first time, you'll receive a warning.
If you do it one more time, you will be banned from TNT ML automatically.

4. Receiving Posts from TNT ML

As described already, there are two different formats of TNT ML - Normal and Digest. With normal format, you will receive all the posts to TNT ML individually after they are received by the mail server at Onelist.com. With Digest format, you will receive all the posts in one huge e-mail once a day. You can change the format anytime by using the onelist.com web site. Please see the next section.

5. Onelist.com Utilities - Changing your e-mail address, unsubscribing from TNT ML, changing format, etc.

At the onelist.com web site, you can use some functions, such as view archives (old posts), change your e-mail address, change the format from normal to digest and vice versa, unsubscribe from TNT ML, post to TNT ML using web browser, etc. Please go to http://www.onelist.com and log in. Then click "tntml" in the list of the mailing lists you're currently subscribing.
