skeleton sickness

the bony fellow sticks
beside the dumpster,
never moving, holding
the fixed, empty look he once shot
hopelessly to the big chump in the sky.
he ogles on, loitering
in the gloomy corner of life,
pondering the
lonely endings of the
frolicking pixies before him.
bad day attacks

a rabbit gazes happily at that orange carrot.
rabbit contemplates carrot’s fate,
disintegration later at breakfast.
jaws mashing, stomach eating at carrot . . .
and bam! A tractor crashes irately against rabbit,
again and again!
maiming magical carcass,
stealing a rabbit’s dreams.
the dying star

darkness has wrapped around my heart
bringing coldness to my soul.
those I nourished have trampled me,
leaving me to rot in their filth.

but your inspiration still flickers deep within me.
one day, I will bloom again.
