Art Committee

Purpose: To provide continuing art exhibits at the YWCA for the enrichment of participants in YWCA programs.

Composition: The committee shall be appointed by the President in consultation with the Executive Director. Non Board members may serve on the committee with the approval of the President and the Committee Chair.

Responsibilities of Committee:

1. To select the art to be displayed as determined by the Committee, showing preference to the art of women and seeking cultural and ethnic variety.

2. To act as liaison between the artist and the YWCA, assuring that artists understand the relevant policy regarding displaying of art work.

3. To assist the artist in setting up and taking down the art work.

4. To work with Building Committee to set policies concerning installation of art work.

Responsibilities of Staff:

Staff as assigned by the Executive Director works with the committee.
