TIPS ON CONDUCTING
1. BE PREPARED BEFORE
STANDING UP TO CONDUCT!
a. Have
an agenda or outline to follow.
b.
Have all items filled in before meeting.
c.
Be sure of announcements. Know dates,times, places, and who is to attend,
etc.
2. STAND UP STRAIGHT
a.
Don't lean or sit on table.
b.
Don't fidget
c.
Stand evenly on both feet.
d.
Don't keep looking behind you for support.
3. LOOK AT AUDIENCE
a.
Let your eyes move over the congregation.
b.
Don't stare at one place.
c.
Don't just read agenda, glance at the audience.
4. SPEAK CLEARLY
a.
Know how to pronounce names, places, etc.
b.
Enunciate clearly.
c.
Use proper English/grammar.
d.
Don't chew gum.
5. ACT CONFIDENT
a.
Don't be frightened.
b.
Act like you know what you are dong.
c.
Before the meeting, practice what you are going to say to help develop
confidence.
d.
Remember, the audience doesn't know what you're going to say. If you say
it confidently, they will assume you know what you're talking about!
6. BE BRIEF
a.
Say what you need to say and sit down.
b.
Don't pop up and down when conducting. Announce several items
at once so you don't have to get up and down.
7. BE REVERENT
a.
The audience will reflect you attitude.
Give them a sample agenda to use.
