Chinese Sentence Patterns
The Chinese sentence patterns course
teaches the frequently used
sentence patterns in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese. It is designed for the
Chinese learners who are new to Chinese or already have learnt some Chinese.
By learning
Chinese sentence patterns, the students can easily learn the basic skills of speaking,
reading and writing Chinese. And more, It is intended to help the
Chinese-learners using their own flexibility to learn Chinese efficiently.
The course was focused on the everyday used language. The sentence patterns and example sentences in this course are based on ordinary people's daily life, for example, the sentence patterns being used to ask questions, describe things, explain reasons, compare things, etc. The Chinese words used in the sample sentences are also frequently used in daily life.
The Chinese sentence patterns course teaches the sentence structures and how to use the structures to make sentences like a copy machine. Although It is not intended to teach Chinese grammar, but you learn the Chinese grammar rules without notice that because. It is not intended to teach Chinese words, but by putting the Chinese words in sentences, you learn the usage of words automatically.
The course has 45 lessons. Each lesson was written in Chinese characters, followed by Pinyin (for the pronunciations) and English (for the meaning) and each lesson is about one sentence pattern or two -three related sentence patters. You will learn the sentences like: "who is who" , " somewhere has something "somebody goes to somewhere to do something " ,something is as good as something", etc.
In the beginning of each lesson, a sentence pattern or two-three related sentence patterns was introduced, and then a short description of how to use the sentence pattern (s). For example, the description may be like this: Use this sentence pattern to compare two things or this expression is used to compare more than two items. The text part (the main part) is example sentences of the sentence pattern. When a new Chinese word or phrase first appears in the course, it is underlined and followed by a bracket with Pinyin and English in side.
Each lesson has a sound file that includes all sentences in the text file of that lesson. The sentences can be listened just by a click.
After the course, The Chinese learners should be able to understand basic dialogues, speak simple Chinese sentences, know frequently used Chinese words and phrases and can make own sentences, dialogues using the words they already learned in this course and other courses.
