1998 YYZ PLAYOFF RULES

1.  Select the Players Game and/or the Team Game to paricipate in.

2.  Select ANY 18 forwards and 8 defensemen for the Players Game, and/or fill in ALL choices for the Team Game.

3.  Complete the Entry Form, enclose check or money order, and return to League Office by hand, fax,  or mail. Hand and faxed entries MUST be received by League before 6:00 P.M. CDST Wednesday, April 22, 1998.  Mailed entries MUST be postmarked no later than Wednesday, April 22, 1998.  Any entries received after this date will be returned.

4.  You may make any changes to your entry before 6:00 P.M. CDST Wednesday, April 22, 1998.  Phone the League any time before this to make changes.  ALL ENTRIES ARE FROZEN AFTER THIS DEADLINE!!

5.  You may submit multiple entries for any game as along as the entry fee is paid for each game.

6.  PLAYERS GAME SCORING
 

Goal  1 pt. Series Winning Goal 2 pts.
Assist 1 pt. 7th Game Winning Goal 1 pt.
Power Play Goal 1 pt. 7th Game OT Goal 2 pts. 
Short-Handed Goal 2 pts.  Stanley Cup Winning Goal 5 pts.
Penalty Shot Goal 5 pts.  Series Winning Assist 1 pt.
4 Assists 2 pts. Overtime Assist  2 pts.
5 Assists 4 pts. Cup Winning Assist  2 pts.
Overtime Goal 2 pts. Conn Smythe Winner  5 pts.
Hat Trick 3 pts. Game Winning Goal 2 pts.

7.  Number of winners in Players Game dependent on number of entries.  One winner only in Team Game.

Ties after all tiebreakers have been exhausted will split prize money.

9.  Team Game tiebreakers are in order as shown on Entry Sheet.  For "Goals Scored" and "Games Played" categories, if two entries are equal in the difference from the exact total, the tiebreaker will be awarded to the entry BELOW the exact total.

10.  If a player is selected by ALL entries, that player will be declared ineligible, since his points will be irrelevant to the final totals.

11.  Prize money and number of winners in Players Game will be determined after all entries are received.  The League will withhold 10% or $30, whichever is less, for operating expenses.

12.  One update will be done after the Divisional Finals in late May.  It will be available by PHONE, FAX  AND INTERNET ONLY by calling the League unless you provide a fax number.  Final update will be sent out after the conclusion of the finals in July, and prize money will be distributed after appeals have been cleared.

13.  Appeals will be heard for 1 week after the postmark of your update.  PLEASE CALL IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS TO THE VALIDITY OF YOUR RESULTS!!!
