This week on rants....

Activism

not to be mistaken with Activision, the makers of many top of the line video games, activism is really starting to get on my nerves. The causes, oh the causes. There are so many now pro-life, pro-choice, pro-indecision, animal rights... whatever... if there is an angle to something there is someone pushing it down your throat where ever you go...

if it isn't PETA throwing paint on people wearing fur or "pro-lifers" blowing up abortion clinics or killing doctors (ironic isn't it), it is the anti establishment individuals that are protesting the big world leader's summit... g4 is it? g force? g spot? oooh.... not that i'm against having a cause, these particular individuals that are protesting the summit (there are several groups... all with different agendas... all angry at something... probably the collapsing of space 8 gabillion lightyears away and the lack of effort that W is showing to stop it) aren't even "protesting" properly... they said that they just wanted to "start some trouble"... huh?... what ever happened to peaceful protest? up with people? grass roots campaigns that take work and effort to accomplish... geez... lazy asses... now it turns into terrorism... PETA and pro-lifers have been doing that for years... :o)

so in honor of all the goofballs out there that have forgotten how to protest i'm starting a new cause... take the b.l.t. sandwich.... bacon, lettuce and tomato... i love em... good stuff... however, i feel that the tomato is greatly over looked... it is far more an integral part of the sandwich than the lettuce and second only to bacon... i feel that saying b.l.t. we are discriminating against the hard work that the tomato does to make the sandwich more flavorful for us all... lettuce is 95% water.. not a whole lot of flavor there... so we can no longer ignore all of the greek restaraunt menus, the short order cooks, waitresses and the simple ignorant majority that calls it the b.l.t... it is time tomato got it's due... i propose that we all write to our respective congressmen, tomato growers and anyone else that is taking a pro-lettuce view on things... we have to tell them that this will not go tolerated any longer... b.t.l.... b.T.l..... B.T.L... come on.... scream it with me... our tomato brethren will no longer be persecuted...
