Hannibal

Cannibalism... don't knock it till ya try it.

silence of the lambs... now that was a good movie... hannibal lecter was a super intelligent cannibal with seemingly super natural powers that falls for a young fbi agent named starling... it was scary and won some academy awards... so it is only right to assume that there would be a sequel... hannibal was such a likeable psychopath... and who can really get enough of man eating fellow man? not me... that's why i rent tons of gay porn..... er.... lesbian porn.... lesbian porn.... whew... covered that one up pretty good...

hannibal picks up several years after silence ended... lecter is still on the loose and clairese has transformed herself into a totally different person... literally... all the while the hunt for lecter has been on in the private sector by a deranged, scarred (mentally and physically) former victim and patient of dr. lecter... he want's hannibal caught so he can feed him to his pigs... yum...

lecter wants to be caught too... but by his long time love clairese starling... so he sets her up to find him... she does and wackiness ensues... actually alot of cannibalism ensues... but i equate cannibalism with wackiness... so there...

hannibal is good... not great.... and ray liotta plays his best role since goodfellas... sir anthony hopkins is just as much fun as he was in silence... and there is plenty more of him to go around... director ridley scott (fresh off of gladiator) tries to direct this movie into an oscar... won't happen though... and even though the story isn't nearly as scary as silence was and the movie was not nearly as gorey as everyone had hyped it up to be, it is still worth renting... so i recommend watching this one with a nice glass of chianti, some fava beans and the liver of your neighbor... he doesn't need it....
