Improving
The HiFi Case
The final photos show that the Black and maybe less fancy Blaupunkt we put in the dash was the best fit so far.
At the same time the sound was fantastic with the unit controling the amp, the sub, the Audax woofers at the foot places and the Audax tweeters at the door with very good results.
The sound automatic measuring microphone of this head unit was succesfully used to improve the settings of the sound so that that we could memorize two settings for top up or top down use.
The silver SanFrancisco we tried earlier did not fit our dash as good as it looks in the after 1999 models -bottom right- with the silver dash, while the black one we used fits perfectly and also has a small tendency to look at the driver, following BMW's ergonomic design!
After covering the sub with a fair quality black carpet it was ready to be put in front of the passengers seat...
After the shooting session of course!
Almost invisible! Only if the sound system is on, someone can figure out that something is going on there because of the bass buzzing underneath.
Yes, I know the new SanFrancisco is spectacular, but in the pre 99 models with the black or beige dash it won't fit nice.
Even at those models it does pop out a bit but you can only see it if you are in the car and not watching a pic.
And now...Here's the best trick of this sub.
We designed it with a socket and a very long power line so that it can either be placed behind the driver and the passenger (under the plastic glass) or it can be removed completely when parking in weird places.

How about that?!
