These are the closest mountains to our area, I recommend Bear creek it may be a little expensive but for only being 20 minutes away, its well worth the drive.  Spring Mount, well its has its nick names such as, spring bump and "That's a ski slope, my backyard is bigger," but for being in town its an alright place to go after school or work one night.
