Here you have two commemorative high value stamps, one is commemorating the leaving of all the foreign force troops, mainly French, the other is commemorating the Sofar Lawyer Congress. On the second one, you can see president Khoury picture.
Each set consists of four stamps: 25p, 50p, 75p and 150p.
Each set has an expensive and rare miniature sheets, quantity issued for each is in the order of 300 only.
Here we have 2 values of the 5 red cross stamps, very rare as the surtax was high, only a small quantity has been issued

Here you have the nice set of the 75th anniversary of the universal postal union (UPU) issued in 1949. All countries belonging to the UPU have issued a stamp or set commemorating this event so that we have more than 100 countries commemorating this event. Many philatelists try to collect all these issues.

UN anniversary, Lebanon is from the firsts countries to enter the United Nations. The set consists of only two stamps 35p and 65p, plus a valuable miniature sheet.
These two stamp sets have similarities, they represent Saida, crusaders castle built when the crusaders took important cities on the sea to prepare invasion of the holy city of Jerusalem. The first set consists of five stamps: 10p, 15p, 20p, 25p and 50p, the second set consists of six stamps, same values with an additional 35p. Depicted here are the two high values in each set (50p).
This stamp is the high value of Nahr El Kalb first issue, there were 3 different issues where the low values consist of small cedars.
Also shown there is the complete Nahr El Kalb second issue, its value is slightly more than the first, because it is rarer. The two sets differe from the engraving for the five high values, the 4 cedars are different in each set.
Here you have a nice original stamp in a rhombus shape. It represents president Chamoun with several other arab leaders when they meeted in 1956 in Beirut. The set includes also smaller values in a rectangular normal shape: five 15p and one 25p, the sum is equal to 100p, and the big stamp face value is also 100p, so net total is 200p.
Here you have some postal tax stamps used for compulsory use on mail to provide funds for various purposes specially for the army and Palestinian refugees. Palestinian refugees began coming to Lebanon starting 1948, when Israel state was declared. In mint condition, they are very rare, on covers also; they are found as used singles mainly. The first 4 stamps are true postal tax stamps, the fifth and the sixth ones are normal revenue stamps from this period, these stamps are generally collected with the postal tax ones, one was overprinted with a new value. The seventh one was a postal tax stamp for the army, it was overprinted to serve for the Palestinian funds.
Here we have a nice selection of used lebanese stamps ranging from 1945 onwards, the first left stamp was issued in 1945, the second is the top value (100p) of the nice heron set, the third is also reproduced at the top of this page, the fourth and the fifth are from Jounieh and grand serail set to 300p, it comprises also the first 3 stamps on the second raw. Finally you have a used Saida stamp shown earlier in this page. Nice selection.
