	Mischievous water-spirit of Central America that was a cross between a dog and a serpent. It seized humans that strayed too close to the edge of the water with their tails, treasuring their victims' eyes, teeth, and nails. However, it is said that the Ahuizotls' victims are blessed, going straight to paradise, as these spirits are servants of the rain gods.
