	In Islamic tradition, a milk-white steed from India that carried Mohammed to the seventh heaven. It had the face and voice of a man, the ears of an ass, the body of a horse, and the wings and tail of a peacock. Its eyes were as blue as sapphires and shined as bright as the stars. It is to be the first beast Allah resurrects at the end of the ages, and it would be given a saddle made of rubies, atop which Mohammed would sit on and be flown to heaven again.
