	One of a group of bloodsucking vampiric spirits of the Surinam Negroes that appear as women by day and bats or other animals by night. Protection against an Azeman would be to scatter seeds or grains on the floor, as it will be compelled to stop and count them. It will also count the number of bristles in a broom, and if one is laid across a door, the Azeman probably won't come in anymore.
